Bought it to have that extra safety at night.

My house recently got broken into so as an extra security measure i bought this. Best thing ever, if you accidentally forget to lock your door this will stop it going anywhere. ( i had a good test out on it trying to shoulder the door open and it wasn't going anywhere)Easy to use, easy to build, study and a cheap security item

Simple design but very effective. It really does withstand a sustained assault on the door. Excellent value for the price.

This was ordered for my elderly mother who lives in rented accommodation so a security chain cannot be fitted to the front door but she feels more secure now.Surprisingly strong and will do the job very well, please easy to put in place at night.My only issue and the reason for downgrading to a 3 star product was that the captive nut at the bottom of the tube the foot screws into was over moulded from the outside (A defect in the moulding process). I could see the nut at the bottom of the tube when looking at it from the other end. This meant I had to carefully drill out the plastic hole with a drill from the outside then carefully cut away the plastic for the round foot thread to be screwed into the captive nut.All far too much hassle but I wanted to provide something quickly to put her mind at ease so did not have time to reject it.It is a shame as it looks a good product if the defect was not there.
