I love it!
After exhaustively researching the Fitbit, Garmin and other offerings, even considering the Apple Watch I decided on this model. For me the deciding factors and impressions are as follows:A. This is WATER RESISTANT to 30M and POLAR says go ahead and shower, swim with it etc.; that is huge...Comprable offerings from fitbit are Water Resistant to 10M or less and Fitbit specifically discourages swimming OR showering with them.B. It works with the very affordable and accurate POLAR H7 Heart Rate Strap. Accurate calorie and activity tracking is near impossible without heart rate info. I already owned this strap (although you can buy it with the device as a package as well). Some may ask, isn't it inconvenient to wear a separate strap? Maybe a little but that slight inconvenience does not outweigh the benefits: -Wrist HR measurements (such as the Fitbit Charge HR and Surge or the Apple Watch) are okay at best. They can be accurate with proper watch tension and seating against your skin BUT with any aggressive movement (such as um...excercise) you are prone to disrupting its position and monitoring. - The Strap serves double duty! It not only sends the info to the watch for instant viewing/tracking BUT it also sends it simultaneously to the gym equipment via the standard non bluetooth signal. Polar has been in the HR monitor industry longer than almost anyone so most gym equipment is compatable.- The strap is comfortable, adjustable and once on not even noticable.- Once you detach the pod from the strap, it shuts down automatically. Saves battery on the watch and monitor. In the Fitbit Charge HR reviews I saw, many people had problems with the HR monitoring and the manufacturer directed them to change the HR reading setting from auto (battery saving) to on (uses more battery constantly). SO for me, I like the ability to have HR info when needed and go without it when it is not necessary. I am already putting on workout clothes for the gym, the strap is an additional 10 seconds. -You can use the strap independantly! Did you use GPS on your watch and drain the battery or just forget to charge it only to notice on your way to the gym? Well the H7 Heart rate strap has a PHENOMINAL battery! Well over a year depending on use so it is still ready to go. You can let it sync to the gym equipment or use the polar beat app to save and track your workout as well as display in real time.C. It is a nice, easy to read watch for daily use with daily, m-f or single use alarms. It is a bit big for my tastes...it looks good and I imagine it to be the same size as the bigger apple watch (I measure 42mm top to bottom on the face or 50mm diagonally); I usually wear a round face 42MM stainless watch (which this replaced aside for meetings or formal events) and it being square or rectangular faced is a little bulkier it is not bad. It does look funny on my wife's petite wrist. I would say if you are petite you would only want to wear this during excercise and otherwise could get away with daily wear. It is not very thick compared to others on the market with similar features.D. I like the Polar Flow Companion app. It syncs with the press of a button, I have NEVER had a problem with a quick and successful sync. Your daily activity is logged, your sleep, you steps, your calories and much more information. You get a heart icon next to workouts which you can click and review details as well as a HR graph for the enitre session. The data automatically syncs with the Polar Flow website each time you open the app and it keeps a monthly diary among other things for you.E. The activity goals seem to be well suited and a bit of a challenge but in a good way: C'mon, if you are considering buyng a fitness/activity tracker you are most likely looking to be pushed right? I can say this, since getting the M400 I have been MUCH more active. My problem is I have never had a problem going to the gym and getting in a good session BUT that made it easier to slack a bit the rest of the time. This watch gives you an inactivity WARNING after 55 minutes of inactivity, this is not a bad mark or an inactivity stamp for the day; it gives you a chance to get up and move to avoid one. This is BIG. I work an office job and it is amazing how often I can sit for over an hour without moving (bad for you). The alert prompts me to get up and walk to the restroom, get a coffee or sometimes I even do 25 bodyweight squats in my office real quck. I would never have considered this before. I take it seriously and enjoy the challenge to hit my goals. My wife has the Polar Loop and the other day both of us were under our goal for the day after dinner and decided to take a walk to hit it. It was a nice walk together that we would have never even considered had it not been for these nagging reminders of how sedintary we can be.F. The battery is AWESOME! I use the heart rate monitor for an hour plus at least 4-5 days a week and I sync with the app several times daily. Weather here has been bad and I had to order a new chain for my bike so I have stuck to indoor workouts, treadmill/eliptical cardio etc. so far and have not used the GPS (will update review once I do) but so far the battery life has been incredible! After my first week the watch still showed 100% battery! People typically say 3 weeks from what I read but I am thinking approximately a month per charge (being conservative) without using the GPS function.G. So far the watch has held up quite well (although I reccomend screen protectors, this thing has a plastic screen to keep down the weight which may risk easy scratches).Hope this helps. I will continue to update this review as I have owned it longer and after I have been able to use the GPS a few times for runs and biking.Update: 5/5/2015 I have now used the GPS many times in the Other Outdoor, Running and Biking settings. WOW I bought this watch because I have started to run and was interested in comparing my runs and tracking my progress. It was a secondary buying motivation for me (I would have got the A300 which is a similar model less the GPS functionality but for the price difference I figured this was the better buy even if I did not use it much). This feature adds SO MUCH more value and usefulness to this activity monitor! I can't believe how much I use and benefit from it! For runs, it tracks your speed, distance, average pace, maps out your run ACCURATELY (like a map my run app etc.) tracks calories burned etc. which makes comparing runs and tracking progress GREAT. For biking you see your speed, average speed, distance etc. and for each the metrics displayed can be customized (up to four that you prefer at a time on the watch display during the activity. You do this on the Polar flow website which is awesome). Most recently, after my run my daughter had been begging me to go on a bike ride with her; as we went to pull out of the driveway she asks me "dad, aren't you going to start your super watch? You do it when you ride alone." So I told her okay, I will track our ride. When we got home I sync'd the watch to my phone then logged online to show her the ride (the app automatically logs it on your online diary). She got the biggest kick of seeing how far we rode, how fast we rode and even audibly laughed at its accuracy (the map showed a series of loops in the street where I was riding in circles to allow her time to catch up as she got a breather). She was also quite impressed.Even using the heart rate monitor (H7) and GPS function (for several runs, walks and rides averaging an hour in length) I am pretty sure I can count on one hand how many times I have charged this watch since I have owned it! It DOES NOT charge quickly (I would estimate 2.5-3 hours minimum for a charge from 30%) but that is still not bad.One thing I will give this thing extra points for is durability so far, I am an active guy and aside from runs, bike rides etc. I wear this watch to track activity all day. I found screen protectors on Amazon and ordered them but they are delayed shipping. Unprotected this thing has survived the construction of a fully landscaped brick paver fire pit, the overhaul of a washing machine, motorcycle maintenance, mountain bike repairs and yard work including cutting down a tree and splitting firewood. I have been conscious of it and careful knowing that it has a plastic screen (scratches drive me NUTS) but it has held up nicely (knock on wood).I was going to list its daily activity monitor as a negative but have reconsidered...if you are buying this thing to help keep you active and to push yourself a bit, it will do that. During setup, I told the software that my job is predominantly seated and nonactive but I work out at least 3 times a week. With that info and my age (32) height and weight it set a daily goal which, in my initial opinion was very aggressive and difficult to achieve BUT after really objectively thinking about it; it is pretty darn spot on. I DO have a job that forces me to sit for most of the day (I love the reminders to get up an move before I have been seated for an hour) and the activity monitor forces me to make up for that downtime. I bought this watch to further my health and weight loss goals after hitting a plateau despite a SOLID and consistent effort (diet and exercise) and it helped me do that! Working out 3-5 times a week I thought I did well BUT this device reminded me that when I am having an off day, recovery day etc. I still should be taking a walk or engaging in light activity. My activity level has really increased with this unit and I have gone down a pants size since buying it.Update 5/19/2015: Still impressed with the battery but I have noticed one flaw with the unit; if you use the activity tracker and the workout/run/biking trackers, they work COMPLETELY independently of the activity tracker and DO NOT communicate. Last night I put my son in a jogging stroller and went on 6.3 mile jog. The run tracker worked FLAWLESSLY, it tracked my exact run, elevation change, speed, heart rate (paired with my Polar H7 bluetooth HR monitor) and charted it out with a map and graph showing my speed/heart rate throughout my run. Sadly enough it does not share this data with the activity tracker. Due to the fact that I was using a really good jogging stroller and my body position gripping the stroller and the way it smoothed out the bumps the activity tracker was unable to track my steps accurately. When I got home from my jog (remember the jog alone was 6.3 miles) the activity tracker had me at just under 4 miles worth of steps for the entire day and at only 90% of my activity goal! Now I don't fault the tracker portion for this as any fitbit etc. would have been fooled by my body position and the way that stroller glides. With that said it is a shame that the features don't communicate. I went on another short jog without being in a tracking mode to hit my goal (yeah it would have bothered me). I emailed Polar customer support and will report back if I hear more.

LOVE THIS WATCH!! - Here are my favorite features
I love this watch! This is my 4th Polar product as I've continued to upgrade over the years. Can't remember the model of my first HR watch, but my 2nd was an FT60, then I bought the Loop. But after doing a half-marathon with the Loop, I realized I really needed and missed the watch face with my mileage, time, average, pace, etc. I was excited when the M400 was released so I bought it a little over a year ago. Polar's warranty is for 2 years, just so you know. You can read all of the main watch features here on Amazon but there are some new things that have been added since I first purchased it that I'd really like to point out. Below are my favorite features.1 - FREE TRAINING ROUTINES - Polar has FREE training routines (5k, 10k, half-marathon, full marathon, etc.) that you can subscribe to by setting your target race day, start date, and # of times/week you want to train. Apps like Endomondo or MapMyRun charge for these types of features. During the non-running days, you have things like Strength training where they run through a video guided workout with a countdown timer. You may decide to do your own Strength training regimen, but for a newbie, this would probably be great. And they don't require any special equipment for the Level 1 track. I haven't reviewed all of the different levels so not sure about Level 2 or 3.2 - SET YOUR OWN TRAINING WORKOUT - You can now create your OWN target work out for each day, complete with different phases and target heart-rates. I have been searching for this FOREVER and haven't found this feature on ANY other app that I've owned or subscribed to. Seriously, this has always been my one frustration!!! I want to create my own routines, and then download them to my watch or app. And now I finally can!! To do this, go to the Flow website, click on Diary, choose your day and Add. You have the option of adding a workout you already did or adding a Training Target (or favorite target). It downloads to your watch once you sync it up.3 - TRAINING FLEXIBILITY - Your training schedule downloads to your watch so when you click that red button, the first item that appears is your scheduled work out. But you can substitute one of the other workouts you have on your watch, instead. This is helpful in case your schedule was for a 1 hour run, but something came up and you want to swap it with your 30 minute indoor bike ride you had scheduled for tomorrow. Another aggravation I have had with other programs. I could never go in the next day and do the workout that was scheduled for today unless I did it completely manually. But I like for it to tell me which phase I am in of my tempo work out. So, with the M400, I can go back into Flow and create a different target for the next day that matched what I had scheduled for today. Super convenient!4 - TRAINING TARGETS EASY TO CREATE - On the Flow website, the intervals are very easy to create. Go to Diary, choose a day and hit, Add > Training Target. Select your sport, give the workout a title [Medium Run (40 min)], enter the date & time, then proceed to the Target section. You can create a Quick Target (duration, distance, and/or calories), Race Pace (similar to Quick but adds pace instead of calories), or Phased. Phased is my choice. Create different phases with different targets. Example: Warm-up: 10 minutes @ Zones 1-2 Work: 5 minutes @ Zone 3 Rest: 1 minutes @ free (no HR zone) Work: 1 mile @ Zones 3-4 Rest: 1 minutes @ free (no HR zone) Work: 1 mile @ Zones 3-4 Rest: 1 minutes @ free (no HR zone) Work: 1 mile @ Zones 3-4 Cool down: 5 minutes @ Zones 1-2You get the idea. You can switch it up and that's pretty awesome!!5 - COMMUNITY GROUPS - This has been fun for me. Honestly, I don't really go onto Facebook much because it's a time waster so I don't do a lot of social media. You can post your workouts to Facebook if you want to. Flow has the ability to link your account. However, if you are like me and don't want to do that, you can just subscribe to or create your own group within Polar Flow. People are very encouraging and it amazes me to see some of the other workouts. Some of these folks are hard core & they are from all over the world! There is an option to Relive someone else's training which can be neat if you want to see images of other places in the world. It just shows you a picture from select spots on their training course. NOTE: You can turn this feature off for yourself. You may not want people to know where you do your workouts. It could be creepy or risky, especially if you start by your house, or something.6 - ACTIVITY GOALS & TARGET ZONES - I have pretty much struggled all of my life with sticking to any sort of fitness plan. I start out great and then I fizzle out after one thing derails my momentum. Even the past year I wasn't meeting my activity goals even closely. Most days I was only at 25-55% of my target. So, I switched it up several weeks ago. This is what I did and it's kept my momentum and fun factor high. Maybe it will work for you if you are like me, I don't know.First, I signed up for a training schedule. Besides the individual workouts, they also give you a targeted set of minutes in each training zone per week.Zone 5 - 0:05:00 (HH:MM:SS)Zone 4 - 0:05:00Zone 3 - 1:04:20Zone 2 - 0:42:50Zone 1 - 0:22:50As you complete your workouts, you can see how you are doing on these targets. During your workouts, you can display how you much time you have spent in each zone. For some reason, this keeps me more motivated. I don't know why, but I am really terrible about keeping their strict schedules but I have been fulfilling these target goals each week for about 4 weeks now. And while I was only achieving less than 50% of my activity goals on average, I am now up to nearly 100% for the week. Some days I'm over 100% and other days maybe below or close to 50%. But my average is great. Anyway, this is working for me. Not sure if it would work for anyone else, but thought I'd throw it out there for someone to try if they are struggling like I always have.7 - CUSTOM TRAINING VIEWS - you get to customize what you want displayed for each activity that you do. Click on your name > Sport Profiles. So, if you want to show the Time of Day | Avg. HR | Current HR | Time Lapsed on one screen, you can. You can add up to 4 items to display on one screen (view). I have multiple views for each sport or training activity. I don't know what the limit is. Currently I have 6 displays for running and still could add more.Okay, so that's it. These are my favorite features. There are so many more features than this and Polar keeps adding more. I forgot to mention that it has some smart watch features like viewing the first few lines of a text, snoozing my phone's alarm clock (my favorite), etc. They aren't as high tech as something like Apple Watch, but they exist and keep getting improved. As I mentioned, I really love this watch and for the money, I think it's an absolute best buy!

(Könnte also doch was dran sein?)

Very Very WOW!!!!

Fantastico: fai qualsiasi cosa
