Very worth the money!
These really are a good value for the money. They’re not “reclaimed wood” that tends to come at a premium and with a lot less consistency, but they look like the real thing! The boards have some roughness to them, but they are pretty consistently cut and color, though the variations in both added to the authentic feel of the wall.We had about 108 sq ft to cover so we ordered 5 boxes (125 sq ft). There were a few boards that weren’t great out of the 5 boxes, but most were perfect, and we were able to use some of the not great ones for the smaller end pieces if needed. We ended up with maybe 8 full extra pieces (just a guess, don’t feel like counting!).We used the gray set, which all came with 5 dark, 5 medium, and 4 light, so we had to be cautious with how we distributed the light ones in the design so we didn’t run out and have all medium and dark at the end. The company website has a design tool which was incredibly helpful, but I still recommend laying them out ahead of time to make sure you have what you need!We used construction adhesive and two 2” brads on every stud. We also painted the wall a very dark gray beforehand, which I think was key to making the imperfections seem like part of the design. We also marked all the studs with chalk. We used a miter saw for the straight cuts and a jigsaw for around the outlets. We COULD have probably finished this in a day, but we have little kids and our air compressor wasn’t working so we had to make a few trips to the store. So it took us basically two partial days to finish. We also used quarter round around the edges, but it actually didn’t look too bad with the rougher edging. Just depends on what look you’re going for! We had a gap at the top so it looked better with the border for us.We just finished a couple weeks ago, so if anything starts warping or falling apart, I’ll update!Edit (Sept 2021): It's been a few months and everything still looks great, but I'm updating to add that we used the leftover pieces for a few small projects, including the base of a riser for our movie chairs. So these are very versatile!Edit (Jan 2024): they still look as good as the day we got them, no warping or anything like that! Looks like the colors are slightly adjusted from when we got them but I’d still highly recommend the boards from this company assuming the overall quality hasn’t changed!

great value for the price
We looked at several options for an accent wall, all different price points, some with velcro strips, some not. And each time we came back to this product. We needed 48sf, so two of these boxes was just right. And it was only $250, compared to $500 and almost $1000 for other options. Everything expected was in the box, several of each shade. Then it was a matter of laying them out in the random sequence we wanted. You can glue them if you wish, but we did ours with only 18 guage brads into the studs, and they're holding just fine. Also helps to have a miter saw and multi-tool for outlets and other odd cuts. Only regret is we should have painted the wall behind a darker color. There are a few small gaps that show through in certain lighting. And 3 spots the knot fell out of the wood. Not a big deal if you position them right, but a dark base wall behind would easily hide these imperfections. Other than that we couldn't be happier.

Very Happy!
Wanted something bold for a kitchen wall that looked like someone painted over half peeled off sheet rock paper or wallpaper. Hadn't seen anyone do this for a kitchen wall so took a risk. Easy going up but a few pointers...1. Their website to plan the wall did not work. Had hoped it was a "drag & drop" option to plan colors but didn't work on Smart Phone or large tablet. The website did come out with a pattern based on our wall size which was a bit helpful but spacing out the colors was time consuming.2. Have some glue for the ends of boards not being nailed into studs.3. Count, inspect and separate all board colors, there will be a few uneven or slightly damaged boards (like a knick in the corner, natural knot that caused a small hole, etc.) that are great to cut for smaller pieces. We had 5 boxes of mixed colors and probably 4 boards had imperfections but still got used.4. They can cause splinters so if in an area where kids (or adults) might touch then you may want to polyurethane and will need 2 coats of water based (I didn't want shine) and does alter the grey color to a bit darker.Materials used were brad nails/gun, level, gorilla glue/adhesive, and small hand saw.Totally worth it and quick installation!

Awesome
This is an amazing and easy alternative to stripping pallets to make an accent wall. They are easy to cut and install. I did this myself with a miter saw and nail gun. I think my husband was fairly proud that I could do it on my own and he was far too busy at work to offer much assistance, I love the book and will consider doing another accent wall in our half bath

Great for an accent wall.
At the cost of roughly $4 per sqft this is a great buy. Local lumber yards offer 3/8" skins like this at around $4.40 but they lack the color consistency and cut options of these.I installed 6 boxes on a large accent wall in about 2-3hrs with 2" brads. We initially cut several boards at random lengths for the starter row on the left side. Work 1-2 rows at a time starting at the top. Once you get the the right side of a set of rows you can measure and cut. Easily trimmed around sockets and reattached them with the same plates with longer screws after. No need for socket extenders if you trim close enough for the metal bracket of the socket to overlap on the wood. There is slight variation in thickness and width. Maybe a 1/16" at times. This had no impact on the final outcome.
