Lindy Bop 'Cassy' Vintage 1950's Parisian Style Three Quarter Sleeve Bow Dress

This is a beautiful dress. It is made from a high quality material so it doesn't look like you're wearing some halloween costume or something. It is a pretty dress that you can wear every day or even on a casual or dress-up basis. In my opinion the sizing runs true to size, you just have to look at Lindy Bop's sizing chart and follow what it says. I normally would wear a size small but since the bust area of the dress runs small (it says it runs small up top in the measurements) I ordered a medium. It fits well. It is a bit loose in the waist but that is OK and to be expected. You can always get a pretty belt and put it around your waist. Also, the shipping on this dress was really fast. It got here within a week which was way quicker than expected. Overall, I have no complaints. Just follow the size guide and you will be just fine with this dress! Oh, and also it says you will need a petticoat to make the dress look more full like it does in the picture. I ordered a petticoat and the dress looks very beautiful with it. I ordered the dress in red polka dot and the red is a darker shade instead of the brighter shade that it looks like in the picture but I like it. It's not so bright and flashy that way.

I am in love with this dress as the title reads. This dress is amazing and very comfortable the fabric is very nice and hugs your curves in the best possible way, it more less flatters you. The length is perfect as well, and the bow and collar are the cherry on top of the cake. I do recommend the petticoat, it does look nice without it but it gives a better full look with it. The shipping speed was magnificent it arrived only 8 days after I ordered it, the only down fall about that is you have to sign for it so make sure your at home to sign when it arrives. Over all my experience with this seller was great and I am looking forward to ordering from them again, I actually just ordered two more dresses in different styles and can't wait to get them. I would highly recommend Lindy Bop to any lady looking for a nice vintage style dress they do not disappoint. And for the price it is well worth it. I usually wear a XL but after reading some reviews I ordered the next size up and it fit perfectly.

Let's get started with the review of my Cassy Blue Polka Dot Vintage Dress:First of all the dress is Very Very nice quality. Much better than expected for the price of the item. The material is a bit heavier than I imagined (in a good way) It has a bit of a "sheen" to it, but not in a plastic distracting way. The fabric is not clingy it's a bit thicker so it falls nicely. It is thick enough to smooth out any lumps or minor bumps you have. It stretches a good bit, but I would say not enough to squeeze a size smaller. Oh and the material is VERY hard to wrinkle. The package arrived in a 8.5X11 shipping package (so it was folded) and no wrinkles at all.When ordering please note that the seller lists in the description what the measurements are for each of the sizes. Please read them carefully and measure yourself accurately before purchasing. Since the Item is from the UK if you want to exchange you will have to pay return shipping. I was really afraid of ordering because I was between sizes. (Right at the edge for my bust) so I ordered a size larger. It fit about right, just a little loose in my shoulders, so I washed it hang dried it and then threw it in the dryer on high for about 3 minutes. Now it fits like a glove! Again, there were a lot of comments about the size, but if you follow the measurement in the description you will be perfect!I am 5'4 and the dress is the perfect length, just below my knees. I haven't decided if I am going to wear it with a crinoline yet, but the skirt is very flowy and would look nice with one.There have been notes about the dress being unlined...for less than 50 dollars I don't think it's fair to complain about this. Also, there have been some comments about the zipper. It works perfect on my dress. The "handle" of the zipper is a bit small, but it's to help hide the zipper once it's zipped. Other than that the quality of the zipper is perfectly fine.I ordered my dress on August 18 (a Sunday) and received my package on August 26th (A Monday)This is literally the best purchase I have ever made, and I can't wait to order more Lindy Bop dresses!Hope you all enjoy your dresses TOO!

Got lots of complements on this dress when I wore it dancing - it has a nice vintage vibe to it, and the skirt twirls well. I was a little afraid it would be too hot, since it is a pretty heavy poyester knit material with sleeves, but it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't wear it in the summer, but it was fine on a cooler day. The sleeves were stretchy enough to give me a good range of motion.The dress is sturdily constructed, but not well tailored, which is not surprising for the price. The neckline facing wanted to roll out, and the bow couldn't decide whether to sit under the collar or over it.I'm a size 8 US and the Medium was a good fit.

This dress is so delightful in the picture but it is not what I expected. I purchased it to wear to a 50's party and when I received the dress I was very disappointed. I ordered the dress 2 sizes too big so that if it didn't fit I could take it in and I could not even zip it up it was so small. I understand that European sizes are different from the USA. The fabric was wonderful and I loved the design of the dress. I noticed that the hem of the dress was not even. I am a seamstress and have taught sewing for 30 years (just didn't have time to make the dress), the hem was a disappointment. I was going to exchange the dress for something 4 sizes larger than I usually wear but decided not to because of the sewing issues. I received two slips from this vendor and was very happy with them. Also, the product was delivered in a timely manner.

Der Stoff ist genial, und knittert nicht.Der Ausschnitt ist etwas groß und rutsch nach vorn, nicht ganz vorteilhaft.aber trotzdem Lieblingskleid verdächtig :-)Ich benötigte eine Nummer größer,Die Sendung war sehr schnell angekommen.und war prima verpackt.Dankeschön, immer wieder gern !!
