I've Grown to Like It 🫵
I watched this when it premiered on Disney Plus. Had mixed feelings. Some things were cool some things were just interjected nonsense that had nothing to do with the story. Disney being Disney.I found myself watching this quite a few times as I have a 4k home theater and it looks great. Especially in the Imax option that Disney offers. Prime Video ( clearing throat noises )I see this as a classic to watch during Halloween.Overall it's entertaining so when it went on sale during Prime Day I had to buy it. It's one of the better MCU movies but not one of their best. All I know is I've watched this several times and every time I watch it it keeps my attention. Professor X 🫵 ... 🤣

Good intro into MCU multiverse.
Pretty decent Dr Strange second outing. If you enjoyed first Dr Strange movie, as well as Spiderman No Way Home, this one delves deeper into the MCU multiverse, and pits Dr Strange against an unusually powerful former ally. Recommended.

Interesting Storyline
I have always liked Marvel's movies and creations and like some other people, I'd be one of the very first to watch at the mkvie theater. However, during the lock down due to the covid-19 pandemic, going out was almost always restricted. So, I ordered from the Amazon for me and my family to watch. The storyline was interesting and although it took a while for us to really be in the same page and understand what was happening, Dr Strange brought a new sense of sci-fi that's unique and yet modern. It's a good movie to watch if you're into solving puzzles and mysteries.

Good, not great
While growing up, I read as many comics as my limited finances would allow. I never really was drawn into Dr. Strange's world as into others. This movie is sort-of reminiscent of those days. Dr. Strange is an interesting enough character, but really doesn't draw you in. I rate his powers on the lower level of super-herodom, much like the beloved Spider Man. Heck, I saw it strange (no pun intended) that the movie's antagonist, the Scarlet Witch, innately had much more power than dozens of mystic warlocks who had trained all of their lives. Speaking of Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, it will help your understanding if you've watched the miniseries, "WandaVision". I hadn't, but was able to follow the movie without any problem; afterwards, I researched a little and saw how this movie tied into that miniseries. The movie is well done and clever but didn't move me like many other films. The actors are good and believable, but overall, the experience is a little lacking. Good, but not great. Four stars.

Meet Ms. Marvel
Another Marvel comics movie. If you've come with them this far, you know it's best to watch them all in order to get the continuity and know what's going on. Be aware on this occasion though that this one also follows on from the end of the Disney Plus tv series 'Wandavision.' I didn't have any problem understanding what was going on in the film as, although I don't have Disney Plus, I had read enough about events in it to know what happened in said series. But anyone who hasn't might be left a little confused.Anyway, it's back to Dr. Strange. Post his first film and the events of Infinity War/Endgame he's still doing his magic. He professes to be happy. Even though what happened with Thanos still weighs on him. And he sees his possible love interest from the first film [Rachel Mcadams] marrying another guy. Then a girl called America Chavez appears. She's from another universe. And she needs his help. But the threat she faces turns out to be not what he initially thought. A chase through universes ensues, facing a foe who stop at nothing to get what they want. Literally.Amazingly, in none of these universes do we actually see a single one where enough people like 3D tv to make it commercially viable. Take the hint!I did start to feel during the last four Marvel movies that they were starting to get a tiny bit formulaic. And lacked jeopardy. This one is a pleasant surprise because it avoids those issues. It's imaginative. It could probably have shown us more of the Multiverse than we actually get, but the stuff you get is good. It does allow veteran director Sam Raimi to show his own flourishes, and yet it still manages to balance that with being a Marvel movie. Which Eternals didn't quite.America, who went on to get her own Disney Plus show, is quite an engaging presence. And there is a good threat here. A very believable one also. Which meant it did have the jeopardy in the set pieces I was hoping for.A decent watch. And here's hoping following Marvel films will let their directors have the same latitude also. There are of course two scenes in the end credits. Middle and at the end of them. It has to be said though that the first one undercuts the final shot of the film. The dvd has no extras. It does start when loaded with the Marvel logo, which plays for a few seconds. You can't skip this so wait for it to finish.Language and subtitle options:Languages: English, Spanish, English audio description.Subtitles: English, Spanish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish.
