ONLY PUNCH ONE HOLE. Twice and the egg will shatter. These work great though. As someone who likes to make deviled eggs and has done every method you can think of for shelling and still manages to destroy about a third of the eggs this thing is a life saver perfect eggs peeled every time provided you don't press this bad by into a shell twice before you cook them.

I saw somewhere that if you poke a hole in the bottom of an egg, it makes them easier to peel when you boil them. I got these about a month ago and have used them every single time since to make boiled eggs. I think they’re awesome. You unlock the button, you push the egg down, it makes a little hole, you boiled the egg and then the shell peels completely, and cleanly off. Can’t ask for anything more. The product is exactly as advertised and does exactly as it says it will do. Great value definitely would buy again.

I lost the pick for my electric egg cooker. I tried various pins to puncture the eggs before cooking. Nothing worked well. This item is easy to use and sturdy. Also, easy to find in a cluttered cabinet.

I replaced a metal egg piercer with this inexpensive model. This one does the job very effectively! The sharp point goes right through the shell without any damage to the egg. You are left with a nice small vent hole to prevent the egg(s) from cracking when steaming or boiling. The magnetic back keeps it firmly on the refrigerator and out of the cabinets or drawers. This makes it easy to find and is a safer way to store it.

Works as advertised. So far, all eggs pierced and boiled peeled easily without any waste.

Well made, attractive. Not sure I shouldn’t just be using a hammer and small nail to pierce the egg end. I destroyed about 4 eggs when piercing a dozen for hard boiling. But using this made it easier to remove the shell after cooking and there was no darkness from sulfur even though I used, against advice, new eggs.

This little tiny eggshell piercer is AMAZING! My only complaint--and it's a big one-- is that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED! It was trial and error, the first few times.
