SUGOi Men's Versa Jacket

I bought a blue Sugoi Versa Jacket a couple of years ago in a Montana bike store. Loved the jacket. It is incredibly versatile. The sleeves with half the back are stuck as one piece with magnets and when you remove the sleeve piece, what's left is a vest. So once you race down the mountain into the warmer valley, the sleeves and half the back are easily removable, opening up the vent in the back for better air circulation. When I found these on Amazon, I had to buy two more. Now here is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I ordered the same size as the one I had bought in the bike shop but the ones I bought on Amazon had slightly shorter sleeves. So when you stretch out your arms on the handle bar, the sleeves come up just short of the wrist. Otherwise it is a great light weight jacket that can easily be rolled up and put in the jersey back pocket. The one piece sleeve part can be rolled up and put in the back pocket of the vest. Great invention.

This jacket is great for cool days. As I learned living in the Pacific Northwest that this jacket does not insulate you in anyway. It truly is only a windbreaker. I do like the design where you can convert it into a vest and a convenient pockets where you can put everything. But i repeat it does not insulate or keep you warm at all. One of the only workarounds I found for this was wearing a thermal under the jacket. Therefore now it sits in my closet waiting for summertime to rollaround to use it.

This is a great spring/fall outer layer. I bought it for cycling, but you could use it for running as well. I've been riding with it in temperatures in the 40's and 50's. I think with the proper layering it will be good into the 30's. It's been good at blocking the wind, which is the biggest irritant to me in cold weather. The bright blue offers good visibility, another feature that was important and it does have reflective material as well. The jacket seems well constructed. It has ample pockets and there's good adjustability in fit. The magnets that allow this to be converted to a vest are a neat design and they hold well, meaning the sleeves do not come loose accidentally. I would definitely buy another.

This is one of the most versetal running jacket/ vest I have ever used. I run early mornings and it's very bright for the on coming traffic to see me. Works great for the cold winter days with just a base layer on under it in the low teens weather. When it's in the forties and up works as a great vest and the magnet system works really well.

I am very pleased with this jacket.The fabric has a nice feel to it and is breathing. I have not yet tried in rainy weather, so I han't say for impermeabilty.The jacket is well ventilated and the sleeve-bolero is very easy to take off while driving. As you don't have any zippers, you just pull and the magnets releases. When putting back on, the magnets automatically snaps back on.Only remark is that the jacket is a bit tight on the back, when the sleeves are on and the arms are stretching forward.

This is a great jacket, but it is too heavy for running.The sleeves don't exactly remove in two sleeves, more like the entire top portion comes off in one large piece leaving a vest.Hard to explain, but like a hood can unzip off, this is kind of like that, a back portion and sleeves attached come off.

The jacket is great by itself. However, the color of the zippers looks more like turquoise than a nice light blue in person wich I dont like. Because I wasnt happy with the color, I asked the seller what he could do for me. He offered me NOTHING. He was only sorry for me!

Sleeves come off easily, but do not flap when going fast. Love the side pockets and fits true to size.
