Excellent for secondary glazing
I bought this as it was a lot cheaper here than from the suppliers of the pvc sheet double glazing (I got the pvc sheets from them as they were the cheapest I could find). This worked really well and was easy to attach to the pvc sheet and then apply to the window frame. The white backing of the product is great as it appears through the sheet and so makes the magnetic attachment almost invisible (if your window frames are white of course!). Would recommend this for secondary glazing and other uses. I hung quite a few 1m x 0.5m pvc sheets and the magnetic strip has held them in place without and slippage.

Four Stars
Lighter weight than previously used magnetic tape but so far seems to be working well. We shall see.

OK for smaller jobs
Much cheaper than some suppliers and the magnet adhesion is good for smaller jobs but on larger items it's just OK..used on some 5mm perspex secondary glazing...double up on anything over 1m2 and should be fine

Does the job, will buy again
Very good. I have used this tape on secondary glazing on three small sash windows together with 2mm polycarbonate sheet. The bonding to the polycarbonate is very good but the window surface needs to be absolutely clean and smooth. When I take the panels off, the tape on the window frame can tend to pull off. I may have to put a staple in places where there is a join in the wood and it has to go over a bump. The magnetism is enough to hold the 2mm polycarbonate sheet in place without slipping, but I have some large sash windows to do which will require thicker sheets, perhaps 3-4mm. I am confident enough to try using this tape with the heavier sheets. When fitting the tape, it is recommended that the steel tape is put on the window frame and the magnetic tape on top of this, sticky side out. The secondary glazing is then placed on this and the magnetic tape sticks in the correct position, hopefully. This is rather difficult to do in practice so I suggest doing this very lightly, removing the secondary glazing and straightening the magnetic tape afterwards. It can be pulled off and replaced if not pressed on too hard in the first place. When all is lined up OK, press down hard on the tape to ensure it sticks all over. You can see if there is air trapped underneath. One small criticism is that this 'white' tape is very slightly grey. Also, the edges are not white, so it is not entirely invisible. I find it is acceptable behind nets though.

Adhesive is not strong enough
Good price but unfortunately the tape that sticks to the frame is not strong enough to stick. Frame degreased as instructed but metal tape just does not hold. I noticed another review that said the same and to use glue. Guess I’ll have to attempt that now….

Avoid
Have purchased this product from three suppliers over the last six years but regret that the supply from this source in Sep 18 had very poor adhesive - particularly the glazing tape. Came loose half way through first season. Now reverting to one of my two original supply sources. Avoid

Product as described and doing the job well
Second time of buying them ....still doing the job!Found they stick together well.Is holding large plastic 3mm secondary double glazing is window of 1.7m x 41inches!White bit of metal strip is left exposed so, perfect on white window frames as you can't see themIs tough to cut through the metal though. We finally discovered secateurs worked best after much trial and error!Would recommend.A good prices too

Used for secondary glazing
I put up 3mm acrylic sheets the biggest of which was 1200x600mm. After using sugarsoap on the wooden frames first the adhesion has been very good, two months later and there has been no sign of the tape coming unstuck anywhere and the magnetic force is plenty to prevent any slippage. The colour matches the white window frames well and overall I'm very pleased with the result.
