Very nice, comfortable, sturdy, practicle.
I ordered these on Saturday, and they got here Monday, so that's pretty sweet. If you think the size is off, maybe you don't know how bike shorts are supposed to fit. I always always always buy XL for shorts, pants, etc. That's my size. In an inch size, I go for a 38 or 40 most of the time. I ordered these shorts in XL like I always do, and guess what? They fit like a glove. I'm about to go for my first ride in them, so maybe I will add more to this review when I get back. For now, though, I'm pretty satisfied. They're way better than the last pair of shorts I bought, the Funkier Bike Men's Designer Cycling Shorts . The Funkiers ride up in the crotch and roll down from the waist, though the chamois is really nice. I wish it was removable so I could add it to other shorts.Update:: I used these for a 20 mile ride and they were pretty good. The pockets are nice, the liner is comfortable, I had no chafing and no numbness. The outer shorts have a sort of mesh in the crotch area which lets everything breathe. The rear "stealth" pocket was perfect for my keys and ID, and it is low enough on the leg, almost to the cuff, that I wasn't sitting on it. The mp3 loop seems oddly placed, but I don't plan on using it anyway- listening to music while riding in traffic is a bad idea, just like it would be if you had headphones on while driving a car. The belt is sturdy enough that it holds my collapsible baton in its sheath with no droop. Still very satisfied with this purchase.

Great overall value!
These are great shorts. Oh, yes they are great cycling shorts too! These are no doubt cycling shorts but I've worn them many other places. They look great, so great in fact, that I've received many compliments about how nice they look... These shorts are right at home on the road or trail, the golf course and out on the town.Construction is better than other shorts that I've paid twice as much for. Utility, did they mention pockets?! What I love is that not only are there many pockets, and very useful pockets, but that they usually don't show you have anything in them - including golf balls and bulky wallets. Needless to to say, I've purchased several pairs and will likely add to my collection as new fabric patterns are produced. By the way, the RPL's that come with these shorts are really top notch too! Just as good as the Pearl Izumi's as far as I'm concerned.

Quality materials, but feels short
The features are nice (materials, pockets) and there are only two things I don't like. The length of the shorts is about 2 inches too short so when seated I feel like I'm wearing Magnum PI shorts. The other thing is how the seat cushion material bunches up when standing. The Zoic Ether has better fit for length with a stretchier material that I prefer (cushion still bunches up though).

Bike in casual style!
I got tired of wearing the same old monotone black or grey bike shirts so I gave this a try. It arrived quickly enough and I wore it on a short 3 mile run around the neighborhood. Then ran some errands driving and walking. You'll feel the rub of the crotch pad on prolonged walking but it is removable. Were it not for the black inner thigh material, these look like any casual pair of plaid shorts. Which is why I like them. There's an adequate number of pockets, three of which are zippered for securing your valuables. I typically bring keys, wallet, change, pocket knife and such when riding so that was perfect. They're a tad expensive but totally worth the fashion break from your usual bike shorts.

Nice bike shorts
The only minor drawback with these is that the inner liner with the padding is not sewn in to the garment. But that is not a big deal. I prefer these type of bike shorts to the spandex ones that just look not-so-good to me on myself especially as a recreational bicycle person. That's a personal preference. I also like to have pockets in my pants which the spandex ones don't have.

WTF? 4 inches too small!
Overall, I like the shorts. I just wish I could wear them.I ordered "my size" based on all the other clothes that I have that are that same industry standard size. What I got was at least one, and maybe two "sizes" smaller - at least 4 inches too small.Several people have commented that the shorts "run small." Horse-puckey. I am a man. These are men's clothes. Men's clothes don't "run small" because the sizes are measured in INCHES. You measure, and your waist is 36 inches or 46 inches or whatever. Inches don't "run small." If the sizing chart says "Small = A, Large = B, XXL = C" then a man should be able to look up his size, using inches or metricmeters or whatfreakingever, and order that size and get shorts that fit. The manufacturer has failed this basic test. So, -Inf stars for being unusable to me, lying in your description, and costing me money.

Not of Good Quality
I have purchased 3 of these kind Mountain Biking shorts and all looks to be comfortable, but this particular shorts and lost it stitches just after one wash and now i have to find a tailor to get it back in shape,I would say the manufacturer has used the worst stitching threads so they don't last for even a single wash

Great quality shorts, but sizing is way off.
The extra large size was too big, but the large is pretty darn tight. I guess I just need to lose some weight, but that shouldn't have been Zoic's choice.
