Rawlings Youth Premium Baseball/Softball Semi-Relaxed Fit Piped Pants

Pretty much what I expected. When I ordered these for my son, the consensus was that they were for a husky kid, which my son is at nine years of age and 95 lbs., and they were great. They won't last him too long as they are somewhat tight in the waist but, with the elastic waistband, they will do for a season. They fit great in the bum and legs and aren't too tight, which is exactly what I needed.

Wow, I don't know if we didn't get the right pair of pants or what happened. We desperately needed a new pair of gray pants with red pin striping for a tournament this weekend. Our local stores had white pants with red pinstripes but not gray. So, I ordered these and had them shipped 2 days. I was a little concerned because a lot of the reviews said that these were great for their 'husky' or 'stocky' player. One review even said if your child was a little slimmer, they might not work. My son is pretty slim. We ordered a size large. Large is what he wears in all of his other pants. The pair of pants these were to replace were Nike Mediums.(mix up on our uniform order, we should have had Large) These pants are smaller around the waist then his Nike mediums and are virtually the same length!! There is certainly nothing 'relaxed' about the fit. It almost seems as if the pair we got is mismarked size wise.I guess we'll go with gray with no pinstripes and just be out of uniform. Hopefully I can return these. Be VERY careful when ordering these, they do not appear to size up like any other pair of baseball pants we've ever owned. (and I've bought A LOT of baseball pants over the years!!!!)Update: Amazon was fantastic to work with. I ended up getting the XL pair of these pants. They do run small though. My 11 year old is slim. My 13 year old normally wears a Youth XL. his pants fall off of my younger son. However, these JUST FIT my younger son and are too small for my older child. I don't know if they are no longer relaxed fit or what, but, be aware when you are purchasing them!

I have twins so I bought two pair. This year we chose to go with the blue stripes on the side and since we are the Dodgers, it matches the jerseys very well. They fit just fine, I read that some people thought they ran a little on the small side. My boys are probably also a little on the thin side so the fit well. They wash up really well, grass stains and the infield red dirt comes right out, so they are nice and white for the next game. we are very happy with them.

Length wise pants fit great but we found them very small in the waist.

My son loves that they are roomy and stretchy. I wish they would come in different lenghts. They are great for the husky size boy (except the length). I tried buying bigger sizes in the Mizunos but they were tight in the hips and thighs. I would buy the Rawlings pants again.

Great pants for boys who are a little husky. They have a good bit more room in the crotch than other pants. This same brand in "semi-relaxed" fit is also good for bigger boys.

These didn't wear well. They had a "run" in the backside halfway through the season that looked pretty crummy. I thought the fabric was nothing special. My son really wanted the ankles without the elastic and that was fine - the ankles are a little narrow and the fabric is clingy.

My son just destroys Mizuno baseball pants. We had holes in the knees in less that 5 doubleheaders. I decided to try out some cheaper baseball pants. These were less that $20 and an outstanding value.1) Knees last longer.2) He was a little snug in Mizuno youth medium, but too small for youth large. These "relaxed fit" were perfect.3) They are cooler (probably because they are thinner) than other pants.4) they dont have built in sliding shorts/pads but my son doesn't care.5) Can't beat the $16 price for quality baseball pants
