Women's Barricade Tennis Shoes

I love these shoes! I purchased the same model in turquoise & yellow last year and searched everywhere to find them again, with little luck. I was excited to find these, though in blue. I replaced the insoles with the metatarsal ones I use and they accommodate them well even though my insoles are a little thicker. The angled laces are actually a great idea as this cuts down the pressure on the tops of your feet, which is helpful for anyone with nerve pain issues. This style also cuts down on unwanted seams to rub against your foot in important places. They’re fast and stable, I never worry about turning an ankle. I don’t find them to be heavy compared to others with a stability-focus. If you like really light shoes, I always tell people to try Asics. Otherwise, the sizing of these shoes is consistent with other Adidas hard court shoes, and they do the job right!

Good quality but hard not comfortable

Loved these shoes but could not get them to fit snug enough around my heels. I tried everything to make them work because I really loved the color. I have narrow heels so have to make adjustments so shoes don’t slip. So disappointed that I had to send them back.

More than a blister on both ankles. These barricades are unwearable. The first day I wore them within 20 minutes the shoe cut into the ankle bones on both sides. Even wearing a bandage wouldn’t help. What is it made out of?! I had to switch back to an old pair of shoes for weeks before the cuts healed. I tried wearing again and put a bandaid on both sides and still painful. Barricades used to be my go to shoes for years with no break in period. . Why do they insist on “improving” an already great shoe. Barricades suck now!

This shoe was stiff at first and rubbed my ankle for about a week wear in period. I liked the shoe, and they got a lot of compliments. They fit well, true to size, and kept me from sliding on the court. I wore out the sole fairly quickly - in two months I needed a new pair. I bought a different model that seems to have a more durable sole.

I like these shoes - their look - the fit to my foot and heel. However, they are heavier. So, they are a back up pair that I keep.

I’m an avid rec pickleball player. I had a pair of Kswiss pickleball shoes (the light ones) for the last 3 years. They broke at the pinky toe finally. Those shoes were extremely comfortable and I feel like they should not have busted like they did. Anyways, wanted these to work out so bad because they look awesome but they are just so uncomfortable. They run big and sit super low at the ankle compared to other court shoes. Also felt super stiff and like there would need a long break in period. I’m telling y’all, there are much better shoes for this price out there, especially now. Look into Kswiss, Head, and Babolat.
