I bought this to replace a leaking line in a 28 year old Culligan water system. It wasn't the same wall thickness and the fittings were different but the OD (¼") was the same and I was able to make it work. An old T fitting also went bad but the one in the kit worked with the old lines.

These are great quick connectors for tubing and are the same quality or better than the high price ones at some stores.

Unfortunately the bag smelled like fish and no locking tabs were included , even though they were not in the picture i expected the quick connect fittings would be shipped with the locking tabs they are made with

Would have been perfect if the threaded fitting would be 1/4" like the rest of the kit. It was to big to connect to refrigerator.

As the title says, these are surprisingly good fittings, and they held up for over a year mounted exposed on the bottom of my van driving in the snow and slush of the Northeast. They're currently coated in grime from driving and still work as they did day 1, including the quick-connect/disconnect feature which is shockingly still leak-free. Obviously they are made of cheap-ish plastic (I want to say LDPE?) and the finish isn't that amazing but for the price I am extremely impressed.

I read someone complaining about a leak at the refrigerator connection and dismissed it because there were so many good reviews. This is a decent kit for the price - just a brand name in-line shut off valve at your big box home supply store is $12. That being said, the coupling in this kit is crap. It fits very loosely and leaks badly. I ended up buying a brass coupling system for $3 at the store then realized how these components are supposed to fit. They were very tight, I had to press hard to assemble them, unlike this kit's compression fitting, which was loosey goosey. Make sure to make very perpendicular cuts on the tubing or there will be leaks from that too.
