No junction box included phase connection. update to 5 stars regardless
Have not used yet . Instructions has phase connector and junction box. Instructional Video also has junction box (5) also. Nothing was included so I had to order from elsewhere cost me another 10 bucks.Update: for those of u whole need to reverse the motor rotation its not badFrom the esc hall connector : Splice and connect blue to yellow and yellow to blue. These are 18 gauge thin wires. Picture includedFrom the motor big azz cables yellow to yellow, blue to greenFinal Update:The phase wires were REALLY hot but this was my own fault as I connected with nut and bolkt. make sure to have a very good connection or you will have resistance =HEAT. At the end I spliced them together with a wire nut which removed the issue. I was worried that the phase wires from the motor were much larger gauge but turned out to be User Error .Motor: I hooked this up on a monster motoE1000 with a 48v 20 AH LifeP04 Battery ( This thing absolutely rips! Im 6ft 235 and I top out around 28 MPH on grass. I rode this next to a Juiced Bike with MPH gauge against my son (125 lb) and we were neck and neck.So far so good, no heat issues, battery is till running strong, seems solid so far.enjoy!

Good motor and controller
The media could not be loaded. ย Well built on motor/controller. I was having issue but it was my fault. I have figured it out and everything is working correctly. But if you need any support. There is no phone number to call. Contact Kunray via Amazon messaging only and is useless. 6/28/2020 . Top out 41mph on a go kart. Love the sound of this motor. Total weight is about 300bls with driver.PS. A note for those people complaints about the motor/controller. The motor in default is only run on Medium speed @ 80% power. In order to run the motor at 100% full power. You will need to have a speed controller install ( cost $10 on ebay) 1= low @60% power 2= Medium 80% power 3= high 100% power. The motor in default is a soft start controller. To get hard start, you must connect the 2 whites wires together to activate hard start. As of 8/20/21 the kit is still running strong running on maximum voltage of 57 -58 volts battery from the 48v battery source. Most 48v battery fully charged is 54 volts.

Razor EcoSmart Metro Scooter
I bought a razor ecosmart metro scooter and upgraded it to 48 volts getting it up to 21mph but over 400 miles I burned out the original motor due to my weight and the extra voltage. So I bought this motor and controller kit for it. I had to drill new holes to mount the motor and install an extra box to house the controller and one of the four 15 Amp hour batteries I bought. You also had to reverse the rotation of the motor by swapping the thick blue and green wires and swapping the tiny blue and yellow wires going to the motor cable. After all that it goes about 16 mph in low, 23mph in medium and 32 mph in high speed. The whole system works great and I'm very glad I purchased it and would recommend it to anyone looking to get extra speed and power out of their scooter.

How to disable soft start
I found soft start to be very dangerous. It starts slow then out of nowhere it just suddenly accelerates so hard the front wheels lift up and tries to throw you off. I posted a picture on how to disable it if your controller didn't come pre-wired with the switch. The 48v motors have a fan build onto the shaft inside the case. You might want to drill out all the holes so that fan can do its job instead of just causing drag and creating heat. I have only seen the fan in the 48v motors. Solder Dh if you want to eliminate the 3 speed switch and stay in 3rd. Dh is drive high = 3rd gear, YQ is hard start solder together to eliminate soft start, Sh I'm assuming stands for stop high, I believe is regenerative braking but I haven't tried it yet since I don't own a hub motor. SL is where the brake signal wires. Too bad i got 2 defective motors or this could have been a fun setup. Hope this helps someone have a safer time and more fun than I had. Enjoy

Beat mode
Upgraded a Schwinn sc500 scooter with this unit and built two batteries for as my bms that I am using is only capable of 35 amp continuous. With 60 amp on top this thing is a beast able to get me to 30mph while doing wheelies the whole time. I weigh 260 lbs but I feel like a feather on this monster. 3 speeds is super useful making it take for putting around when needes. Made a motor mount to allow a factory fit on original motor mount plate to allow for chain tensioning.

Buy it and thank me later Great product
I built a go kart but had to make handle bars fit where the old steering wheel was to make the throttle work but itโs fast as a mo fo and Iโm getting 210 lbs and the kart is a good 120 and it jus keeps climbing in speed so I need to work on stabilizing the wheels and axel because I want expecting it to go quite this fast-so I am 7 star happy in a five star bracket best purchase ever and am going to buy a bunch more real soon I will post videos if I can figure out how to Thank you

Not worth the price, get a better controller and throttle and find a better motor.
I bought this kit to upgrade my son's electric dirt bike, an SSR SRZ800. I have learned several valuable lessons from this purchase. 1) the controller is huge for a 45 amp unit, it is absolutely monsterous and was going to be really challenging to fit my application. 2) the controller is soft-start, which doesn't work for a fun dirt bike. 3) the controller is not programmable in any way. 4) The motor is horrible quality, unbalanced, and doesn't go to max rpm. This kit would earn a much better rating from me if there was an ability to program the controller and adjust parameters like direction, soft-start, peak amps, and speeds. So essentially the controller isn't a great value. Now the motor: The motor vibrated a lot and wouldn't run correctly. I tried a better Kelly Controller and it would run up, shut off, and run up again with a hall sensor error. The motor was trying to vibrate off my bench. I took it apart and it was horribly unbalanced. All of these MY1020 motors are made to a price point, but the one I got was garbage. You are much better off sourcing a motor directly and then buying a Kelly or other programmable controller and the throttle separately, it will be cheaper and better.

Got this in the mail this week was all hyped up.
Put the kit all together got it working lots of power / torque with no load. Then installed it on the bike took it for a test run the motor would not work under load. The motor just gave out a high-pitched squeal and that was it nothing. Now the motor is stuck will not turn. What a waste of $500 and a 3 week waiting period to receive the item.

Pretty good
I put it on a minibike but the chain was on the wrong side for the motor. For a low priced kit it was pretty good all tho there are no way to know how to make the motor turn the other way without having to test every way possible because i was inexperienced and thats how i blew it up very easy to make it go in reverse by playing with the phases but trying to go full power in reverse thats what got me to end its life short
