Smooth, Quiet, and Shockingly Easy to Install, Huge Upgrade for Frameless Cabinets
These soft‑close surface‑mount hinges are a fantastic upgrade for frameless cabinets. Installation is genuinely as simple as advertised, the hinges are easy to fit to your cabinet doors. no pre‑drilling, no complicated alignment, and no fiddling with tiny hardware. They mount cleanly and securely, and the concealed design gives the cabinet a much more modern, finished look. The soft‑close action is excellent. Doors close smoothly and quietly without slamming, and the 90‑degree opening angle is perfect for most everyday cabinet setups. The hinges feel durable and sturdy in hand, and they have a good weight. and Once installed, they operate with a solid, confident motion that’s far better than the typical budget hardware found on many cabinets. For a quick, clean, and functional upgrade, these hinges deliver exactly what they promise. Great build quality, silent operation, and truly easy installation make them an easy five stars. For 4 quality hinges for under ten dollars they are a great value.

It works for what I need
Soft close mechanism works really well! It is a bit hard to open though. Might soften when used. It is my only option since I needed hidden hinges without predrilling large holes on one-of-a-kind midcentury modern cabinet doors.

Great hinges, AWFUL screws
The hinges are great and work exactly as expected, though it took some trial and error as an amateur using them for the first time because the instructions were not extremely helpful about how to position them. The screws on the other hand are absolute junk and should go immediately into the trash. They're softer than butter and because of that I stripped several of them *while screwing them into pine with a manual screwdriver for the first time*. They're only 0.5" screws and were unusable by the time they were all the way in. Truly amazing. Save yourself a huge headache and a lot of time by replacing them with steel screws or just get a set of hinges that already come with them.

Installation Observations and Tips
These Chibery 90° Soft-Close Hinges work well once you get them installed correctly, but that’s the tricky part. You absolutely need to install them perfectly level, or they will fight against each other, causing binding and preventing the door from closing all the way. A torpedo level will be your best friend here. They’re a little stiff at first, so don’t expect them to close smoothly right away. Also, these hinges have no adjustment features, so you have to get the placement right (or be prepared to reinstall a few times like I did the first time). When they arrive, they’re in the open position, and it takes a bit of time after installation for them to “settle” and start closing the doors completely. A problem I encountered is the maker included the wrong style of screws. They put tapered, counter-sink screws with don't work well with the straight sided holes in the metal. What this does is, unless the screws are perfectly centered, the tapered screw heads will push against the straight sided hole which causes the hinge to shift position. This constantly moves the hinge slightly out of level which makes installation even more difficult. Chibery should either chamfer the holes or send pan-head screws. Overall, for the price, they’re solid hinges with a nice soft-close feature. Just be ready to spend a little extra time on careful installation. I can recommend them, but only if you’re willing to be patient and precise during installation.

Worth the Money
Tried these for a non-door project. They worked better than expected. Used them for hidden hinges for the top of a box. A little tricky to install because they are hidden. No fault of product. These easily held the top up when open and allowed a slow close without slamming and pinching fingers.

Hidden hinges
I ordered new cabinet doors for my cabinets and needed hidden hinges to complete the update Most. Id den hinges have the sunken round side that attaches to the door but I did not want to cut out precision holes so I took a chance on these that did not require boring holes. The hinges require a flat surface inside the cabinet wall that is at least an 1 1/2” to support and attach it. I added 3/4” sq dowels to the inside of my cabinets that did not have a flat wall to attach but only the cross bar. The dowels provided the necessary filler to securely attach the brackets to the j side of the cabinet. The hinges are strong and well made and give your cabinets a more updated look. I would recommend these hinges. I now need to find soft close drawer slides for all wooden drawers.

Don't Buy These
These hinges have too much mechanical play in them. After installing them the first time with clamps holding the doors in place and installed per the instructions, they sagged an eighth of an inch when the clamps were removed. I had to unscrew the base of the hinges and slide them up to anticipate the sag. It worked. They don't really self-close without some help which defeats the self-closing feature. There are no vertical adjusting holes which aggravated the process. They have horizontal holes, but if you follow the instructions, you really don't need them much. The screws are really cheap also. The heads either stripped out or broke off. And yes, I was using the correct size screwdriver. I was given enough screws to install ten hinges. With the breakage, I cannot install the two remaining hinges. It does not really matter though as I threw them away.

Don't cheap out and buy these, they will work but they're not as good as the most commonly used hinges that most cabinets have. They are a little weak and there are no adjustments.

No instructions, fitting extremely difficult, hinges not all exactly the same.
