Chisels we’re fine but wooden box was poorly made: had ply wood with chipped corners and the interior rack holding the chisels was broken when opening the box

Honestly at the price point, I wish I had bought Narex. After about 4 hours of sharpening/ flattening just the ones that had flat backs, they almost function. Claim to be black walnut. They're not. Claim to be ready to use, they're not. Case came damaged, they're dull. Just buy narex.

Purpleheart is a hard wool for carving. But my project using purpleheart is necessary. The carving tools I’m using are helping me carve this project. Tools working great!
