I am trying to build up the kit of supplies I keep in the trunk of our car and when I saw this tire inflator I immediately ordered it. I like that it has a digital screen that allows you to set a desired pressure using buttons that are on that screen and the device will continuing to fill the tire with air until the tire reaches the pressure you set. You can also toggle between different units if that's something you need to do. The cord is almost 10 feet long which is more than enough to reach out the door or window of each side of my vehicle (Tesla Model S) and reach each tire. I believe that this length will work for most vehicles, but not every vehicle has the 12V outlet in the same place. Some 12V outlets are in the console, some have one in the trunk, and if you drive a particularly long/wide vehicle it would be prudent to measure the distance from your 12V outlet to your tires. I ordered this to use for my vehicle's tires, but it also comes with attachments for sports equipment (e.g. a basketball) and other inflatable items. I also like that all of the cords stow away in the back of the device which makes storing it that much easier. I had one tire with a valve issue and so it would leak air slowly and over long periods, so this tire inflator came in very handy. It did successfully add air to my tire until it reached the recommended PSI although it wasn't lightning fast, I don't believe that is a reasonable expectation for this device. It's not a hardwired machine at a gas station or repair shop and it does the job well in a reasonable amount of time. The only thing we had an issue with is it inexplicably shutting off on us while we were using it recently. We were able to immediately turn it back on and continue to use it, so it may not be a real issue at all and though we have not had a repeat issue, we also haven't had to use the device much since then. I really think this is a one-off, but should we continue to experience issues, I will update this review as necessary. Despite that small, isolated issue, I think that this is a great purchase for the price and I would recommend anyone looking for a tire inflator to give this one a try.

I haven't been able to do a really great test of this so far because my tires are all properly inflated right now, but from what I can tell, this is a nice product. I like the LED screen and that you can set the pressure and it automatically turns off. I also like that the valve actually closes onto the valve stem, but the angles can be a little tricky to make this happen. Based on the specs, the speed is pretty similar to other tire pumps. These things aren't fast, but I don't expect fast from a tiny little pump. I do like that it comes with other adapters, but there are absolutely no instructions on how to attach or use these. I knocked off one star because of the cord storage design. To get it all nice and compact again, you have to get both the air hose and the power cord into these small cut-outs on the back of the device. This is not easy to do.

I tested this in my older car with a cigarette lighter. As the tires were fine I just did a basketball, as this will be stored in my college age son's car and basketball refills will be part of its job. It worked fine to fill the ball, though based on speed I don't think tires will be very quick with this thing. It feels light, not super sturdy so not sure how it will hold up, but worked fine on the test run. The cord storage is annoying, you have to stuff it in holes in the back or just leave the cables out, and there isn't any storage for the needle and other pump adapters. But overall works so far and is easy to use.

I chose this inflator to give to my father. He has an old inflator that he keeps in his vehicle to top off the pressure of his tires. It sputters and acts as if it's giving up the ghost soon and it's really, really slow, so now this one has taken the place of that one.This inflator is powered with a cigarette lighter port, not with your battery's positive and negative posts, so if you're looking for that style, look elsewhere. It's a good idea to start your vehicle before plugging it into your cigarette lighter or you may blow the fuse. Take this advice from someone who has already experienced this.You get the usual ball inflator needle and raft inflator nozzles, which are standard in most inflators, nowadays.The nice thing that noticeably stands out on this inflator is the LED light mounted onto the inflator itself. Lots of inflators omit this simple addition, but this one has it, so using it in the dark is much easier to do.The inflator is average in noise output, on the slower side in inflation, and the digital display surprisingly registers the correct pressure (tested with a calibrated digital meter).The best feature is the one where you set the target pressure on the digital display and it does the rest. Very nice!!!All in all, it's definitely worth Amazon's listed price, plus my father loves it!
