The photo is of one of our gardens, but not the shovel. It's been too cold and snowy to go out and get a picture of it! But this shovel is the real deal. Cuts through tree roots, debris, rocks and pebbles in the dirt, you name it. We're hardcore gardeners on six acres, and we've needed to shovel like this for the longest time. This one had great reviews, so we bought it, and we're completely concur with the positive reviews. It is well made, substantial, easy to use, and has very special components that make it the best shovel possible. The design is exquisite. Very pleased!

At first I was skeptical to spend $40 on a shovel but after looking at tons of other options and reading reveiws, I went ahead and took the chance on this one. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOVEL. I wish I could give it 10 stars. It literally goes through roots, grass and even hard dirt (middle of summer Missouri clay) like butter! I took it over to a friend's house to help them level some ground for a pool and they loved it so much that I ended up purchansing a second one a couple weeks later for their birthday. It is super lightweight considering the amount of damage it can do to roots and the ground! The huge foot edges are a plus for needing to dig deep- a feature I've never had but now I can't live without. I have also used it to dig up rocks recenetly and there's not a scratch on it! Worth every penny!!

Okay, just got this shovel the other day. Got the opportunity to unpack it and use it on a couple of Roots I've been trying to get up for a long time.It really ate them up. Not on the first portion of the dig. But much easier than most shovels do.With the broad top it's a lot easier to plant than most shovels are with their narrow kicks on the top.I see this is a birthday present for a buddy of mine. He does a lot of yard work as well and I think he will find it very useful.Need a new shovel buy this one. Easy to use and lightweight.

This is a fabulous shovel and I use it constantly. I’m 70 years old and the shovel is so helpful, sturdy, and cuts the ground perfectly.

Heavy for the average woman. Does a good job cutting through fibrous plant roots. Sturdy construction. Wonder if it will need sharpening after a season of gardening?

Using the shovel for prospecting gold. Sturdy and light enough to strap to my backpack.

I've found this shovel does EXACTLY what it advertises. in fact, it's so effective on my medium sized roots <0.500 inches... like butter.it almost makes digging fun as you blade through the roots.ONE CAUTIONARY NOTE: Fiberglass handles are not meant for prying and are nowhere near as strong under shearing force. this seems to be the majority of the one star reviews.

Exactly what I have been looking for. I didn't think that a shovel could really be improved upon but the "wings" on the sides really do help to lift and hold more dirt per dig plus they make a nice base for your foot to really dig down deep. Finish coat on the blade is nice and evenly applied; will certainly wear off over time but that's too be expected. The fiberglass handle has a nice fit into the shovel head and no noticeable looseness felt at this joint after moving 4 cubic yards of dirt this weekend. Not the cheapest shovel but considering that my last "quality" shovel lasted for 12 years, the expense of this shovel is not an issue for me.

This shovel is awesome! It's heavy duty, with wing back for pushing down deeper and I think it will be reliable and last forever. The only thing I don't like about it is it's weight, but that's to be expected with a long-handled steel shovel.I highly recommend it !

This is the real deal. I have been using it since the very moment it arrived for an assortment of backyard tasks and it's heavy duty, strong, well designed, a good size - an essential tool.

I have destroyed spades over the years just digging let alone digging up stumps. This makes a hard job a touch easier and made short work of an established buddlier stump. Haven't pushed it to its limit yet but I'm hoping it lasts longer than my previous spade

Habe damit Schotter,Splitt,Sand und Erde geschaufelt. Auf die Schsufel geht ordentlich was drauf und es fällt nix runter. Kommt man aufgrund der Spitzen vorm auch sehr gut in den harten Boden hinein. Der lange Stiel schont den Rücken. Klare Kaufempfehlung
