Great nib, Great price
At this price point it is a great pen to have and have the experience of writing pretty. The nib is good to write. I like the control flow of fountain pens, which helps with pretty handwriting. It has been 2 -3 weeks since I have been using and have no issues so far. Give it a shot at this price point for 3 fountain pens, you will not be disappointed

Great pens and unbelievably inexpensive; ink converters are included
Jinhao pens are amazing values. I have several and I've never had one so far that didn't write well from the very start. I do clean all my new fountain pens by drawing in warm water a few times that has a drop of Dawn dish detergent mixed in it, expelling that, and then drawing in clear water a few times to rinse thoroughly. I then let a piece of paper towel absorb the water from the nib before inking them. These pens each include a removable converter for using bottled inks. (Not all pen brands include a converter.) They'll probably also take standard "international" or Jinhao brand ink cartridges although I haven't tried that. Each of these three Jinhao 86 pens work perfectly so far with no skips or hard starts. The nibs are extra fine (XF) and put down a very fine but dark line. They aren't scratchy for an XF nib, which can be. The colors of the pens are very pretty; a darkish blue with a touch of teal, a medium gray, and a darkish khaki that has a pinkish (in indoor light, goldish in sun) tint to it. The caps look good and the converters are working fine. The caps twist on instead of snapping on. Only a tiny portion of the stainless steel nib shows on these, as they are styled similarly to the old Parker 51 of the 40s or 50s with the hooded nib. The new $100 Parker version of their 51 pen gets some horrible reviews for quality and value, so I ordered these cheapies instead. I'm very pleased with them. This retro style of nib may not be for everyone, but Jinhao makes many pens with the traditional larger nib design. As for value, at under $5 per pen (set of three for $14) with an ink converter included with each pen, each pen costs no more than a generic international ink converter alone would cost! It's hard to go wrong with these inexpensive pens. I didn't really need three but I'll enjoy using each of them or might give one to another fountain pen user. I've found quality Pilot fountain pens (which I also love) including their $20 Metropolitans to be very reliable right out of the box, but even the low priced Mets are significantly more expensive than the Chinese Jinhaos. The photos show the pens in the Morandi set and writing samples with each using three different bottled inks on Rhodia paper, but the colors unfortunately don't show very well. The colors aren't quite as dark as they appear in the photo.

Try them, you'll be delightfully surprised.
For the price of $4.00 per pen, it like a gift for the holiday's. Each pen is the same save for the color. They are a knockoff of the Parker 51 remake. There are differences from the original: the cap needs 3+ turns to screw it on and off where the original just snapped on. The ink reservoir is different and the quality is not up to the original. BUT, the hooded nib is just like the original and much better than the remake. It writes remarkably well having an extra fine nib, which I prefer. I have left several of the pens idle for 3 days, and they write immediately with excellent ink flow. The weight and size is comfortable as the original 51 is. Worth trying, you should be surprised with this trio os pens at $4.00 each.

Awesome pens for the money
For the price, these pens can't be beat. They look like copies of a Parker 51 or 21 and have a good feel in hand. They like a wet ink. I have used some Hongdian bottled ink in them as well as cartridges from Jinhao in. All three of the pens write very smoothly. Since they have an extra fine nib, they don't do as well on cheap paper which tends to wick ink away from the nib faster than the pen can supply it. But on good paper these things write buttery smooth and leave a good clean line. The cap screws on so you can leave them on the shelf for days on end and the nib doesn't dry out and will immediately start writing again. At the price I paid, they are less than $4.50 per pen. That is unbelievably inexpensive for what you get. I love these things.

Excellent Fountain Pens
I have bought Jinhoa fountain pens in the past and was not disappointed. The 3 Jinhoa 86 pens arrived on time and well packaged. They are well made and look great. I have used only the green pen and it is an excellent writer. I expect the black and wine colors to also be excellent pens. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and the outstanding value it offers.

Perfect for every fountain pen lover on the go!
Most recent reviews I’ve read only have good things to say of this 3pack special. I just received mine a minute ago and should say I am equally impressed. The pens seem to be solidly built, the colors are very nice and am greatfull for their screw on caps. Generally speaking these pens seem to be quite the bargain and have to recommend them to any fan of pens that you can put in a shirt or jeans pocket without needing to worry about leaking or staining. I intend to use as my EDC pen without rears of failure.

Impressive set
I started writing with fountain pens in primary school. Although I “advance” to ball points over time, I’ve kept returning to fountain pens for writing in my journals, or when I send a handwritten note or letter. These pens were recommended on a YouTube journaling channel. They are very inexpensive. I like that these pens come with a reservoir for using my own ink. I prefer the versatility of choosing my ink. With three pens in this set, I used a different color ink in each pen. The nib is fine, but it writes smoothly, without scratching. The pen is standard size. I have a number of higher priced Cross pens. These pens fit in between the smaller and larger Cross pens. These are plastic, which is expected at this price point. Thus, they are lighter weight. I purchased these to use with my everyday carry pocket journal, where I keep to-do and grocery lists, and jot down things to remember, keep track of thoughts, and take notes on conversations. Once again, given the cost, this is an easy product to try out.

Una maravilla. Mucho mejor que la Parker 51 que tengo. La tinta no se seca. Muy recomendable.
