These vent replacements fit perfectly in our 1998 Toyota 4-runner and were very easy to install. Despite the Toyota dealership that wanted to charge $944 to replace one AC vent saying that they would have to remove part of our dashboard to replace it, I simply fitted it in taking about 30 seconds total. Works great and much cheaper than the dealership!

I used a butter knife to slide between the old vent and the vent opening (on the left and right sides) and it pops out fairly easy. Reversed the process for the install. Go gently and pay attention to the "tangs" when you pull out each, if not you may end up installing them upside down and have to pull them out again.

Popped in my 97 4runner limited no problem . They aren't crusty and make my dash look amazing again. No off color ,perfect fitment .

I was fixing up my son's 1998 4Runner (code name Leroy) to deliver to him at school. Of all the fixes that went into this overhaul, the air conditioner vents were by far the easiest and arguably the most impactful. All I had to do was use a flathead screwdriver to pop out the old, floppy vents and then gently snap the new ones into place. These were super cheap and easy to install. Now, the a/c points wherever you want it to go rather than right into your lap. No more wedging a penny under the vent to get it to stay in one spot. Dang, I have a little tear in my eye just thinking about it right now.

Fit perfectly. Easy to install. Took 5 minutes to pull the original (broken) vents and snap in the new ones.
