Cut overhanging branches 8m up!!
Like many people my neighbours are absolute c*nts & have overgrown trees they don’t maintain. I’ve had 3m poles plus me to reach 5m but doesn’t touch the sides to the high branches. To get a tree surgeon to climb the tree to cut the tree back out of my garden was going to cost upwards of £1,000.This cost like £66 & took me 3 hours. I also then used an electric saw when the branches fell to cut up small & throw back in the cu*ts garden. The saw represents incredible value for money & is a well built saw & pole. The pole does flex at length so the trick is to let the saw do the work don’t push the saw down just gentle back & forth & the branch will cut. It has a very useful stop at each end which makes sure it doesn’t slip out when your going back & forth. This is possibly the best value garden tool I’ve ever brought. Comes with a spare blade so I think for most people it’ll be a tool for life to cover trees of any size.

Works well, but heavy
I bought this for the pruning head (not the saw) to stop wisteria shoots growing across to a maple tree.It came well packed in a strong cardboard box and there is a good storage bag for the poles, with a separate pocket for the saw blades. From the description I knew it would be heavy and I would have preferred the 21ft set, but that did not come with the pruning head, so I had to buy the 28ft set.The poles appear sturdy and are foam filled to reduce flexing, with good screw connections.I chose this type (rather than the one with the cutter facing forward), as it is easier to hook the pruning head around the stem you want to cut, pull it slightly towards you and then cut. The pruner cut the wisteria, which is very tough, without too much effort and gave a nice clean cut.I wish there was a clip to hold the rope loosely against the pole as I kept losing it, and I found it a bit difficult to look at what I was cutting and look down to find the rope.I am an averagely fit mid 70 year old and managed to lift and hook on with 4 poles, which was sufficient for what I needed. I might manage 5, but I know I could not have lifted all 7 on my own.Overall I am happy with my purchase and do not know of anything else which would have done this job.

Great versatile tool saved me a fortune.
Really useful tool. I’ve used it to clear branches from overhead cables at my home simple and effective.Blades are good. Poles work well.I’ve used it again and again.Al that price for that much capability it rates as an outstanding buy.I saw my local electricity board guys using one so looked on line expecting it to be expensive. It’s saved me a fortune in tree surgeon costs already.

Truly excellent bit of kit
I had several branches of some trees to cut down so ordered this for the job. Nice bit of kit that comes in a good strong bag. 3 saw blades, a cutter and several poles. A lot of poles, too many for my needs but better to have that than not enough for your reach.I fixed 3 of the extended poles together, nice and tight so it was fairly rigid. I have to say it was easy to use and I had 4 branches down in no time. I then removed the blade and used the cutter. A bit fiddly at first using the pull cord but soon got used to it. Very sharp blade and it did the job great. Overall good quality item. Very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent tool
I bought the 8m(26ft) version which comes with 8 x 1m extensions. And having disposed of 11 limbs of various sizes in <2hrs, I am very pleased with my purchase.I used 5, 6 & 7 for various branches from ~1" upto over 4" and it made very quick work of them all. Maybe 5 minutes of cutting for the largest; and much of that was me taking a few seconds rest between bursts of sawing. (I'm 66y/o)It gets heavy and bendy; but if the made it less bendy it would be heavier; and if they made it lighter it would be more bendy. I think they got the balance spot on.The hardest part of using it is guiding the blade to a suitable place to cut. The length, weight and wobble make it tricky to position but once done the cutting is relatively simple and very efficient. (Quicker than my bow saw by a good margin.)The trick is to get the blade into the crook of a V and let the side of the blade run against the minor limb as you cut the main branch. Takes a couple of attempts to get the knack, but get easier with practice.

Sways a lot at length
I bought this to remoive Buddlea from the corner of the top floor wall of my house. Few other products seemed to reach the height needed, On the plus side, it is easy to assemble and the sawing blade is effective. On the negative, the longer the length you extend it to, the heavier it gets, and whilst it seems strong enough elastically, it sways immensely because it becomes top heavy. I am quite strong but still felt as though it would fall over into the road adjacent to my property if not careful. I asked a friend to help and even with two of us, whilst slightly more manageable, it was an effort to use after a while. Suggest best used in a big garden or a park to remove small branches, where it doesn't matter if the weight and sway overwhelem you enough for it to drop 20 feet horizontally in any direction. It hasn't done that with me but I felt on the edge of that happening. I estimate 15 feet to be the manageable length.

Really really good
This is excellent. Easy to assemble. It's an extendable pole of up to 6 metres, so it becomes slightly bendy under the weight, and it needs re-tightening occasionally, but this is to be expected. However the weight works with you by adding pressure/force to cut the high up branches. I'm really impressed. The size and length are better than I expected. Really good product.
