Farberware Precise Slice Parer Knife Set, 2 Piece, Blue

I consider a #3 cleaver to be the most useful tool in the kitchen or for chopping down trees for firewood. But sometimes a smaller cleaver for fine work or chopping down smaller trees is needed. This mini cleaver is great because though the blade is scaled down, the handle is made for full sized cooks.It's well balanced and does the job with ease. It has a single bevel edge that favors the right handed.It's pretty sharp and useable out of the box but for lazy people like like me who like the weight of the blade to do the work, a couple minutes on a 2000 stone will get you there. So far it seems to hold the edge well.It's not as elegant or refined as high end knives but it's a lot more knife than you might expect for the really low price.

My Mom had Farberware in her kitchen for years ! It's priced right, it's durable and their cookware, knives and kitchen accessories are very well made and for a reasonable price. I am very happy that are making a Chef style Serrated knife since these are hard to find at a good price. This knife is sharp, easy to clean and very durable. It also fits nicely in my large hands. It only looks like a cleaver. It isn’t. It’s very thin, which is what I wanted. I also wanted one that would double as a scraper, wo having to double up on utensils. It’s great on vegetables and fruits. For the price, it’s sharp and a decent value. I like it. It’s sharp enough, but I resharpened it to make it sharper. This has become my go to chopper and slicing knife.

This is a small sized knife. I think its pretty good. Have used it for several years now. Only one complaint the handle is plastic and got some minor damage after a couple of years. Cosmetic damage only and it does not effect functionality. Good like little knife for general kitchen work.

My mom's very old little cleaver finally gave out recently when the handle completely broke off after decades of use. In looking for a replacement, I saw this one which was a brand I trust and the price was right. The handle has a sure grip which is great for my 86-year-old mom who has arthritis and the cleaver is very sharp. Note that it is not full size but we didn't want a full size so this one is perfect for what we need since it is very close in size to the one which it replaced.

Very sharp knife. I cut my finger while cutting tomato core out. It's awkward because I'm used to regular knife and this knife's height is too tall to cut like regular knife...you have to chop instead. The function as a scraper is great, but I wish it was about 1 inch shorter in height and twice as thick and it'd be perfect. The knife is too flexible and I had trouble dicing potatoes...it became dangerous for me the amount of flex... it's thinner than a regular knife (not even comparing to a cleaver).

This was a replacement for a cheap chop and serve knife and it works great. It hold its edge and easy clean up.
