Exactly what I needed!
Works perfectly on my Ender 5 Plus! The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and included links to the files for the printable parts. The printable parts were also included in the box. All reprogramming I had to do to get printing was in the instructions and the gcode file for that was linked too. The heating is consistent and there isn't a difference in the noise level that I notice.Overall, definitely worth the upgrade!

Great upgrade to my older Ender 5 Pro
I wanted to upgrade my old Ender 5 pro and this unlocked TPU filament for me and it printed great.

Disappointing Experience: Micro Swiss NG™ Direct Drive Extruder Review for Creality Ender 5 Series
As an avid user of 3D printers, I recently decided to invest in the Micro Swiss NG™ Direct Drive Extruder for my Creality Ender 5 Pro in hopes of improving print quality and versatility. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of frustrating, primarily due to the significant difficulty encountered when attempting to load filament. One of the most basic functions of any extruder is to facilitate the smooth and hassle-free loading of filament. Unfortunately, the design of the Micro Swiss NG™ Direct Drive Extruder seems to overlook this fundamental aspect. Loading filament into this extruder is an arduous task that often ends in wasted time and filament. The design lacks user-friendly features, making it challenging to properly guide the filament into the extruder mechanism. Unlike other direct drive extruders I've used in the past, which offer clear and accessible pathways for filament insertion, the Micro Swiss NG™ model seems to have a convoluted design that obstructs the filament's path.Furthermore, the instructions provided with the extruder are insufficient and fail to adequately address the intricacies of filament loading. As a result, users are left to figure out the process through trial and error, leading to frustration and wasted materials.Even after multiple attempts, I found myself struggling to feed filament into the extruder without encountering jams or misalignments. This not only wastes time but also undermines the reliability and efficiency of the printing process. While I had hoped that the Micro Swiss NG™ Direct Drive Extruder would enhance the performance of my Creality Ender 5 Pro, it has instead introduced unnecessary complications and headaches. The difficulty in loading filament outweighs any potential benefits this extruder may offer, making it a regrettable investment in my experience. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the Micro Swiss NG™ Direct Drive Extruder for Creality Ender 5 series printers due to its significant shortcomings, particularly its frustratingly difficult filament loading process. Unless substantial improvements are made to address these issues, users are better off exploring alternative extruder options for their 3D printing needs.

Good upgrade
Was getting failed prints. Stock extruder on my ender 5 couldn’t go 5 minutes without clogging. Was going to buy a new extruder but decided to buy this part instead. Install in total was about 30 minutes.Turned my used ender 5 pro into a beast. Printed great right from the start. Tunning it for even better prints. Highly recommend

Best upgrade I’ve made!
My ender 5 finally prints like it should have out of the box. The installation was straightforward, instructions were great. I did have to customize the BL touch mount as the one that shipped with the micro Swiss was 3d printed and poorly designed. I wound up modifying the OEM bl touch mount (metal) using a grinder to facilitate fit.

It just works
This is one of the best things I've done for my Ender 5. The thing just works every time - all the time. Mine was missing parts, and a quick email and the parts were on the way (cable and set screw). EXCELLENT response from company and a fantastic upgrade. Buy it - you will thank yourself. As an engineer - the only thing I would change is have a taper into the hot end - like a cone as it is sometimes tough to load the filament. Micro-Swiss are you listening??? ADD A CONE OR TAPER INTO THE HOT END!!!!

Could be great-but no
Loading filament in this is a nightmare until you figure out it’s slightly misaligned inside. i find that heating about 2 inches with a lighter the pulling slightly to creat a small taper will let it go in with only a slight bit of fiddling. still-this is bad design.another complaint is that the hotend will not retain its position when you change the nozzle. you can not tighten the grub screws enough to ensure it doesn't rotate. it needs a flat side on the insert of hot end body so that won’t happen.now i’ve ran into an issue now where the motor is clicking. this started after printing filament at 225. it worked fine before-now it won’t. i think something inside has melted. very disappointed! it means i’m down and can’t print.that all said-once installed and while filament is loaded-it significantly reduced my issues with printing silk on my ender 5 plus. i’m torn on review. while it works it’s great-but getting it to work and keeping it so isn’t easy at all!
