My mechanic fit it & it works great.

The instructions were no help at all, you have to take the rear bumper off to install this. Took about 4 hrs total. Also the right side exhaust resonator is in the way, and it has to be taken loose and lowered to access the bolts. This is a nice hitch receiver for the money.

Attached to jeep grand cherokee L and pulled a trailer from Yellowstone to Texas. I trust I could pull a trailer around town if needed.

The product is heavy and looks to be well made. Certainly thicker than the bumper rail that they have on the vehicle. All parts were included and came with some cool coiled pull wires to thread the bolts into the holes. Took me a little over an hour to install this. However the instructions are pretty vague and miss some anchor points. I had looked up other products prior and reviewed and printed out their instructions that had every point along with pics. Certainly a little scary to remove the bumper off your vehicle but just go slow and don’t be too forceful in pulling the trim pieces apart. Just work it a bit at a time to ensure you don’t break clips and cause other damage. Same to say when putting it back together. It should fit like a glove as it did before you started.

Well built but way more of a complicated install. You have to remove wheel well screws pop off trim, remove bumper, lower and support exhaust etc. not easy. Also the inside of this hitch measures 2 1/8. The carrier I bought with 2” insert moves around inside. Too much slop in the finished product usage. I’m concerned now to take a trip down south with this rocking around within the receiver.
