Kavafied KAVA Tonga - Premium Tongan Kava Root Powder (8oz)

I just got this in the mail 2 hours ago and had a quick session. I had to review it as this stuff is top notch. I've tried Kava from allot of the reputable vendors available. This one is super cerebral. Not at all like the heavier kavas and the taste is very forgiving. For those who have had the massive "Pepper" taste you know how bad it can get with kavas like Borongoru types.For those new to kava there are some key things you need to know before using kava as not following the listed directions I am about to type have the potential to ruin the kava experience and/or waste your money.1) First FASTING is so important with kava. What does this mean? 5 hours no eating if you had anything with a decent about of fat. I cant stress this enough how crucial this is. You NEED to be fasting in order for Kava to actually produce its effect otherwise you are destroying its potential. If you had something like oatmeal before had you can probably get away with 3 hours of no eating but you get my point.2) Kava tastes FOUL. Dont come here and slam a reputable seller simply because you cant stand the taste. Having said that you need to get allot of the sediment out of the kava to hit you correctly. NYLONS or KNEE HIGH NYLONS ACCOMPLISH THIS. Go to Rite Aid or any other drug store and pick up a cheap pack. Its embarrassing I know but nothing will hit ya smoother than kava strained and prepared using this method. Start with 3 heaped tablespoons of kava. If you have been fasting it should be more than enough. In fact it can be too much depending on the type of Kava you get.Watch some youtube videos, this stuff is a gem of the Islands and is a real godsend for those who are trying to stay away from stuff like alcohol. If you are using it correctly you will DEFINITLY feel it. Its not like drinking a cup of strong chamomile and saying to yourself....i think im relaxed!? No....YOU WILL KNOW. At high doses its literally comparable to drinking hard alcohol.WARNING:: Be aware Habitual kava use daily can lead to whats called Kava Dermopathy its quite irritating and basically causes your skin to dry out like crazy. It goes away eventually when you stop it, but if you find yourself very itchy this is one side effect. Another thing to keep in mind is nausea. Kava reviews from kava communities actually rate kava based off nausea effects because its so common. The higher the dose the more the nausea.Hope this helps. Remember FAST! When taken straight without the proper preparation, 3 tablespoons mixed with water does give nice numbing effects on drinking and does provide the relaxation of kava, though taking it this way means you can only have one cup as trying to drink a second dose evokes nausea (due in part to taste but mostly due to the plant material your stomach tries to digest). Attempted several ways to filter, including the traditional method but can't get the same effects (even with double to triple the dose) , not even the numbing. Admittedly may be doing it wrong.Havnt tried other kava so no comparisons can be made, but seems a bit pricey compared to other brands.

Different strains of kava can affect people differently. For reference, my favorite strain is borongoru. I ordered this to try out of curiosity, and for the quick shipping. I do not have kavafied's allubal, so I just did my usual traditional method of preparation. 4 tablespoons of root powder to 400 MLs of warm water. Soak for 5 minutes, then knead/squeeze for 10 minutes. Strain and drink. Right away, I noticed a nice oil sheen on the finished product, that's how you know you've got some good kava. I typically drink three or four shells over a few hour period. I noticed a pretty nice "heady" buzz after the first shell. After my third shell, I can safely say I was quite "krunk." This stuff packs quite a punch. Despite being more on the heady side, It actually made me pretty sleepy too, and when my head hit the pillow after my session I was out in an instant and didn't wake up again until my alarm went off the next morning. Not sure if it was Kavafied specifically that puts out really good kava, or if the Tonga strain itself is what I really liked, I intend to try other kava from Kavafied as well as tongu from other vendors to find out for sure, but I would definitely recommend this particular product.

I've been experimenting with a few different kinds of Kava for about a week now to get the full effects and acquire a taste for different kinds. Like some others have said, this Kava is definitely more head-high dominant, with a slightly subtle amount of body calmness. 2 - 3 strong cups daily will most definitely wash away any and all anxiety and may even make you feel more motivated and confident, as it did for me. This has to be my favorite of the couple different Kavas I've tried, as it doesn't make me feel too drowsy if I drink it in the daytime, and unlike other potent Kavas this doesn't taste too foul. Would highly recommend this to any Kava beginner or veteran alike.

For almost a year now, I've been debating whether to splurge and spend the extra money to try these guys out. I've been trying to wrap my head around why they charge almost double for 8 oz of product compared to the other options on Amazon. They must be way better and provide a much stronger product for the money, right? Well I finally decided to give these guys a try and I can tell you it's just what I thought, all hype. I typically have 8 different Kava's on hand at any given time, and I can tell you this one weak. I actually had to use more than usual just to achieve the same feeling I do with my other Kava's. At almost double the price of others out there, you'd be better off saving yourself some money on other options. Don't get me wrong, this Kava wasn't horrible, but for the price I expected to feel what I usually do especially when paying almost double the price.

I asked for lab results through multiple communication channels (Amazon, E-mail, Website chat feature) and never received a response.Anytime a natural supplement is batch-produced, it’s very reasonable and common to provide lab results when requested. While their website says they are lab tested, I can’t speak to that because they did not offer that information. Consider another kava brand where lab results are readily available.
