Krylon K05160107 ColorMaster Paint + Primer, Gloss, Black, 12 oz.

Product exactly as described. Dries very fast (about 10ish minutes + a few hours air out time for setting and smell to go away). I was able to use outside on a project during cool weather and didn't have issues with the paint drying. Nice solid black color. The spray cap (small cap that you press to make the paint come out) was smaller than I expected but it was very easy to use. The paint was easy to direct - very glad the spray area was not extremely wide like some spray paints I've used in the past. I painted a door mat with custom decorations. My cover cap (the black cap that goes on top when finished with product) was broken when it arrived, most likely due to a not so gentle UPS delivery. The cap still fit on so there wasn't an issue there. If I had small children around I might have been concerned since it didn't really allow the lid to lock on properly to secure the paint when not being used. I will buy again if I need more!

This is a "Semi - Flat" black paint. This color is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find in retail stores ( I dare you to find it). It's not a Matt or Flat or Semi Gloss black paint - it has a very, very low reflectivity and is used extensively in photographic, Medical imaging and other industrial applications (studio audio equipment as well.). And it and has many other practical applications. It has a richness that flat and matt black paints lack and is never "chalky". I intend to use it for the wiper arms on a sports car I'm restoring as well as my daily driver - and on my mail box too. It is a very cool, and as you can tell, I really dig this paint, I urge you to pick up a can and try it out.

I purchased Satin Nickel handles, knobs, and drawer pulls by Liberty from Home Depot, and couldn’t find any hinges that both matched and fit the existing notches. So I resorted to painting them. I tried to match the color as best I could, but Nickel has an almost imperceptible yellow tone to it, whereas other metals have more of a blue tone, which obviously clashes. After unsuccessfully using what I could find off the shelf on a single test hinge, I purchased this product. I had no issues in application at all; no splatters or runs. I suspect most people have issues with spray paint due to user error. The result: the color was a perfect match! The coverage was excellent, and it adhered nicely. Granted, it doesn’t have the depth of a true Satin Nickel finish, as it is without those variations of shininess and brush strokes, nor would I expect it to. The important thing, is that it is the correct color, and I am very pleased with the outcome.

LOVE the color of this Rose Gold, and LOVED the price!The only reason I give it four stars rather than five is because it didn't hold up on the bar stool legs I painted with it. I am not sure what the policy is in terms of the wear and tear of spray paint, or know of any sealers that help extend the life of it, but the paint alone did not withstand normal "foot traffic" (By foot traffic, I mean where my feet rested on the bar of the stool as I sat on it). After only a couple of times sitting on the stool, the paint wore off onto my bare feet. If it matters, the legs are metal. I scrubbed them with soap and water and wiped dry with a cloth before spray painting.Other than that, I painted so many things with this spray paint! I attached pictures of the barstool transformation (painted the legs with this spray paint) and some random plastic tubs and metal tins I transformed to use in my craft room (which have held up great, for the most part!)

In my experience, Krylon makes good products.

I painted a dressing table with this paint for my Granddaughter. She then changed her mind and said she wanted it pink. For pink I used the other big brand of spray paint (R) in their 2X Ultra Cover line. It took four cans of the Krylon to achieve a gloss finish while the (R) brand only needed three cans. The "R" brand advertises a Comfort Spray Tip but I found the spray tip on the Krylon a lot easier to use. I couldn't empty an entire can of the (R) brand without figure fatigue and cramping. I used an entire can of the Krylon without any problems. The Krylon gave a far smoother and nicer finish than the other brand. I had a lot of problems with an "Orange Peel" effect using the "R" brand. The Krylon flows a lot better than the other brand.. The "R" brand produced a shinier more glossy finish than the Krylon. Per the Granddaughter's wishes I left the drawer fronts and mirror trim purple. I brought the Krylon finish up to a high gloss by giving it two coats of Krylon High Gloss Special Purpose Varnish. The Krylon Varnish flows very well. For future projects I will use the Krylon.

So I bought this product to spray paint some office supplies I bought that needed a little pizzaz. (First time spray painting) The color is great. But it certainly takes longer than 15 minutes to dry. That is a very misleading claim that lead me to touch the project before it was ready creating smudges and marks. Some parts of the project look great, aka you cannot tell that it was spray painted. Other portions don't look very nice aka smudges, not an even coating around nonflat surfaces.The part that really bothered me was that half way through spray painting the can would NOT stop staying after I removed my finger from the nozzle. The retractable piece stopped responding, and it would continue spraying even after I stopped touching the can! It would eventually trickle to a stop. But as a result the can started leaking and I inhaled more toxins than necessary...By the end of the project the can was leaking very badly.
