Q: Can someone tell me it's normal to get a brand new rope with several frayed spots along it? I have pictures but can't seem to find a way to attach

Yes it is normal. I’ve had the same imperfections in all of my recovery ropes from different manufacturers. This one has worked like a charm under heavy recoveries

Q: Is this truely a kinetic recovery rope with approx 30% stretch? Review indicates it is not. Please verify before i purchase.

It’s is s kinetic rope, not sure about 30%. If used it a couple of times but would pay more and get a Bubba Rope instead. Good rope for the price although a little to bulky and heavy.
