This propane bottle filler is easy to use and more importantly safe. Just follow the instructions. I truly appreciate the shut off valve on it so you don’t have to turn your tank off every time.

Works like a champ. However, when I first got it, I simply tried to fill a small 1lb cannister from my 20lb tank. Did not work. Until I watched some videos on how to do it. I know you have to turn your big tank upside down. Propane is a liquid. Then hook up the small cannister. But that did not fill it. You have to release the pressure first from the small cannister. So I took a small Phillips head, pushed into the small cannister and released air for a good 10 seconds. Then and only then was I able to fill it. You can hear the gas go in. When it stopped, I released more pressure and was able to fill in more propane until it was full.

Great product

At first this didn't work at all. After trial and error I found you have to drain the old tank completely to run the pressure out of it. It also helped to put the empty canister in the freezer for a bit. I was able to get close to a full pound in the tank this way. Using a kitchen scale can help you know if you are get a full fill. My empty tank weighed 0.88 lbs. and after filling weighed 1.82 lbs.

Works great can tranfer gas from my 20 gal BBQ tant to my small tank which is used a lot and cost a lot .
