These are expert pencils. They have been recommended by many artists. Easy to erase and marks are clear and concise. I would recommend for watercolor artists to transfer their images.

I got the 5B pencils to give my sketches some depth and contrast. These are really nice. They have no eraser, as "professional" pencil should be constructed. I recommend these for sketching and drawing. I suppose you can use them for drafting (does anybody do that anymore?) if you keep a sharpener handy. I sharpened one several times with an electric pencil sharpener; the lead never broke during sharpening or while drawing. In summary, these are good high-quality pencils for a good price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great light hard graphite for lay-ins on artwork. The lines are consistent, dark enough to see, yet easy enough to erase with a kneaded eraser. They sharpen well to a fine point and stay sharp for quite a while. I was amazed at the durability of the point. Such a great pencil.

These are my favorite pencils. Feel comfortable in the hand and the lead stroke is consistent density and true to the softness number.

These are good but a bit smaller than I expected! Kids need these for art class at school every year so decided on a box this time

this is a number 2 pencil, dark lead. lead does not break, holds sharpness well. good value and great product.

I am a sucker for making my presketch really light before inking so 10H lead, the hardest lead, is my choice of lightness. It certainly a difference in lightness when I came from using 4H and 6H pencils. This brand also has reliable unbreakble lead that never once happened to me using these pencils. Being a hard pencil they certainly going to last a loooong time (1 hard pencil lasts me a year of everyday sketching). I'm gonna keep using them till the day I die.
