Nice quality shoe. Very good price.
Excellent shoes, top quality. In my opinion they run narrow. Ended up giving to my son because I was so impressed with the shoe at an excellent price but they were too narrow for me. He's about an half size less then me so a narrow shoe 1/2 larger was perfect for him.

Good price!
At the time of writing I have owned these Columbia Plateau Hiking Shoes (in blue) for 2 weeks and have worn them twice, all day at work.I found these on Amazon, liked the color and the price is pretty cheap for a name-brand shoe. After looking at the mall stores I just refuse to pay $80+ for a cheaply-made pair of sneakers. (These prices are insane!!!)Two characteristics I look for is the shoe tread and fit for my fallen-arched feet. I need a good tread for those days I ride the motorcycle to work and I have to have a comfortable, well-fit shoe as I stand most of the day.For the price, these hiking shoes appear to be quality. They're built no different (in my opinion) than the Nike's, Addidas, Puma's, etc. and for LESSTHAN HALF the price of those brands mentioned! So far, they are very comfortable (I've worn them straight out of the box for one day and had my custon arch-support sport inserts in for the second day. Honestly, my feet felt more comfortable without the inserts! The color is a brighter blue than what the Amazon pictures show but I think they're still stylish while being comfortable. The tread is solid and has a lot of grip for my use. (I don't plan to do any hiking but may use them doing some yardwork when they get old.) I bought these a 1/2 size larger as, in my older age, I'm having some "toe issues" and I'm glad I did! The Columbia's give my toes plenty of room without making the shoe feel too oversized.I would definitely recommend this brand and make/model. Mainly for the price vs quality of construction - even if they start coming apart after a while I've had the $80+ shoes do the same thing. But I wouldn't be surprised if these shoes lasted me for a few years as they appear to be very good quality!

A little "flat" inside but a great walking shoe
Had these for about 3 weeks, covered more than 60 miles in them. They are flatter than I prefer (very little if any arch). That said, everything else is just about perfect. Bought them primarily as "trail shoes" for walking in the local "backwoods" park. They do great as trail shoes. Multiple lace options allow you to customize the security of the shoe so you toes don't slam going up and down hill (the park trail I walk gains more than 200 feet over a 1/4 mile). Seem to be very durable, good grip on wet trails and streets. I have a square fore foot (my foot is shaped like a shoe box) and these work well with my square foot. The leather wrapped toes box protects the toes when walking trails. Definitely worth the $35 I paid for them on sale - I will probably order a second pair. The first pic makes the sole look a lot more worn that it is but after at least 60 miles (according to my Garmin) they still look almost new and I'm a big guy.

Heavy and not comfortable for everyday use
It feels kind of heavy and not comfortable for everyday use but they’re good for outdoor activities.

Incredible shoe
I was surprised that a shoe priced this low was so comfortable, and practical. It fit so well and it was like I just couldn’t slip on rocks I stepped onto even if I was actively trying. I’ve only walked in them for a couple of days, so I can’t comment on durability yet, but I like them a lot so far.
