Da Best
All fins and fin sizes are not created equal, try on in store. I wear a women’s 7 & needed XS in these. While churchills are definitely the stiff go to, they are too firm for my comfort. Many other brands are just gooey & too floppy to give any real thrust when it matters. Dafin seems to be a good middle ground of a nice solid blade but a super inviting foot experience.Drain holes work well and they stay put, tho ankle strap is a good move. Don’t buy too small, you’ll hate the day.

Superb fins
One of the young guy at recommended these to me. I was resistant to the idea as I was a life long user of Duckfeet. I'm very impressed with Da Fin. Lots of power, great comfort, true to size fit, A real upgrade from what I was using.

LOVE these fins!
I have been using a pair of DaFins Kicks for the past 5 years, and I LOVE them!! My friend in Hawaii has the swimfins and kicks. I am moving to Hawaii for the summer, and I wanted to get a new pair of fins, and decided to go with these swimfins. I tried them out for 40 minutes in the pool yesterday, and again tonight for almost 2 hours -- they are FABULOUS! They're just like my Kicks, but there's a bit more 'oomph' in your stride. DaFins travel REALLY well too if you take them on trips! They fit perfectly in the front pocket of a carry-on suitcase. My other pair of DaFins have taken me on COUNTLESS ocean and lake adventures: swimming with wild dolphins, sharks, pilot whales, amongst beautiful tropical reefs, in Minnesota lakes, in the Gulf of Mexico. They're the ideal size -- you don't need anything bigger. Some people get those bigger, imo - more obnoxious fins, and that's just not necessary! LOVE these fins and HIGHLY recommend them!*Update* -- When I lived in Hawaii for the summer, I used these DAILY -- literally! I LOOOOVE them! My mom came out and visited me for a week, she had never snorkled before. She used these and LOVED them too! Now I can say they've swam with whale sharks, and oceananic white tips sharks.... and have hours upon hours logged in the ocean -- including body surfing! I volunteered at a coral reef and would use them on my studies of the coral, while collecting data for the University of Hawaii. Again - still raving about them!

Stiff but Powerful and Quick - Moderately Painful after Extended Use
These fins are very stiff, which allows for super fast acceleration and lots of power. I tested them out first in a pool and was delighted with how quick they were. But I did notice that my ankles were feeling a lot of stress if I kicked pretty hard. That's probably just because I have never used fins for body boarding so I have weak ankles, though. So if you're experienced with body boarding or honestly if you do a lot of running/lower body physical exercise you probably won't have any real issues.I did notice after using them for most of the day at the beach body boarding, the top of my foot was sore and bruised from the fin. That might be partially due to improper fit, but I think it's mostly because the material is so stiff and hard (the fins felt like they fit my feet perfectly).A couple (very minor issues) I found were that sand doesn't really drain well out of the hole in the bottom, but I got used to the feeling of a little sand in there pretty quickly (it didn't accumulate in massive amounts but just enough to where I could feel and notice it). I also had on (some pretty crummy) fin socks, which trapped a lot of sand, so that probably contributed to the feeling of sand in the fins. The second issue is probably just user error since I've never used fins in the ocean before. I found when I was wading out into the surf, the current would push my feet out from under me because of the fins. Once i was beyond the breakers and up on the board and kicking, though, everything was fine. My solution to this was to walk backwards into the surf, which worked pretty well, but my neck got tired from constantly being turned around looking at the waves.Overall, I would definitely recommend these to beginner and intermediate body boarders (idk about expert level) but definitely wear some decent fin socks with them and practice a little bit before you go out to strengthen your ankles and calves.

Super Comfortable!
My kids use these for body boarding and they are the most comfortable of the brands so far! 2 of my kids wear a size 6-7 in an american shoe size and we bought them the size SMALL in the fins. They both wear bootie socks because they are slightly big. Because they are growing SO fast we wanted to barely size up, however not too much or you'll loose them in the ocean! Another feature is they float! Which is great! Im going to buy 2 more pairs since we are going to Hawaii and we all want them to snorkel with!
