Q: Is this 40 or 4 inches? Cuz the description shows both and the reviews are mixed.

The burlap I purchased was 40" wide. Apparently others received the wrong product. I bought mine in Oct. 2018

Q: What about the color? Is it similar to the image or is clearer?

The color matches closely the image and is very consistent throughout.

Q: Does this burlap shed a lot? Was it ultra stiff and difficult to lose fold marks?

This is a pretty nice burlap.it does shed it is burlap but, compared to other burlap I have used it not bad. to be honest I can't remember how mine was shipped whether it was rolled or folded. I will say use it as a curtain and I do not remember any creases or wrinkles in the fabric. I am no burlap expert but I would say this is a pretty good quality burlap. please excuse any grammatical errors or typos I am typing on a sheet of glass.

Q: How well would this stand up to use as a windbreak on a wire fence?

Hi. It may hold up for a year or two. I used it as a sun shield on my pond and gardens and it held up for a couple years before it started to fray. Hope this helps.
