These will float.Drilled holes to hold water.Would be nice if they added a plug on bottom and back section to fill with water.

As others have mentioned, the ability to float on this is limited. I bought it with the intent of only using it on a sun shelf, but I tried floating on it. It was comically awkward, and super uncomfortable. I drilled holes to allow water to enter the chair and it was worked well on the sun shelf. The faux wicker pattern on the chair is a little more raised than I would like, but it isn't super uncomfortable. Overall it is a good, but not great chair.

Like many of the other reviews, there are better products. These can work for the price if you are willing to modify. Unfortunately ours came heavily used and already rusting. Build quality is heavily lacking. So you'll prob want to replace some or the hardware with more water proof solutions. It was pretty easy to assemble, but not great quality so expect to fix or modify down the road if you want them to last. It looked decent overall. And seemed comfortable but we didn't really try to use them in the pool because they were already in poor shape and we were going to look for different ones. I could tell these will prob float unless you add some kind of weight to them. More than just water. Maybe drill and add sand inside as these wee hollow. They are also a bit of give to the construction because they are hollow.

The media could not be loaded. So I bought this chairs for the sun ledge are...we don't want to spend over a thousand for a chair.After I read some reviews good and bad I decided to give this a try.So here is what I did, I made one hole on the high part of the seat and one hole on the top part of the back rest on each chair, with the garden hose I filled the chairs with water and they are stable..

This chair can either sit on a oool ledge or flat around. Love it. Not the most comfortable though

I have a very small sun shelf that is not deep. Not only could I not bring myself to spend the money on expensive loungers, they would not fit. I did not drill any holes. On each part of the chair is a plug that is glued in place. See pic. I pried it off and filled each section with water. However, there may be varying levels of leakage at the base of the chair. So I ended up using silicon putty (bought from local pool store $12) and my trusty glue gun to seal them. See pic. Took a few tries to get it right but now they’re great. Used the glue gun to reseal the plug. Would not recommend for sun shelf’s deeper than 9” as the water you are able to put in them is still not enough of a ballast for deeper water. But overall, I’m happy with the chairs

It’s not great for floating due to not being very stable. It should be deeper or flatter if it’s going to sit on a ledge.
