Great auto ranging meter
This is an auto ranging meter and therefore auto ranges, the auto range can take a good portion of a second, but it works well. Voltage and Current are both single buttons so it will need to work out AC/DC as well as the range, it tends to start in AC, most of the time, which is good for an electrician but a small overhead for electronics work. It does though work very well. As does the autos witch when you move the probes to current, yes the meter display blanks and it may be turning off and on again when you do this, but it is fast. Not sure why other reviews I have seen/watched elsewhere don't like this apparent off/on business. The one range that does not always auto terribly well is continuity/capacitance/resistance/etc. Occasionally it makes a mistake and goes for the wrong measurement but this is easy to over-ride.The leads supplied are good quality and it easily meets the CAT ratings given, as far as I can tell it is well within the accuracy ranges quoted.

Excellent meter its auto function is superb
Excellent meter its auto function is superb. A point to remember is that with all meters that have CPU,s are susceptible to interference from magnetic fields eg. transformers.As at 29th Sept 2017 While the meter is working fine, well, is really superb I am finding I am only getting about 3 - 4 weeks battery life. They are 3 AAA batteries. I don't know if this is a generic problem, or a problem with my meter. Once it is resolved either way I will report back.I still rate it as 5*

Excellent companion to any HVAC / boiler diagnostic technician ! Boasts great and easy functionality over other top brands, LCD under backlight is very easy and clear to read . uA function very handy when checking flame current 😉 All ranges accurate to specs ,Trms.

Over all it is a good meter,I have many in my collection, only thing I find very annoying about this one is it turns its self off after a set amount of time even when it is in constant use, having to turn it back on when your halfway through a measurement can get very annoying when your fault finding on a pcb other than that it's as good as my fluke
