A Simple, Cost-Effective Sight Upgrade
I use this on my Mav 88. Easy to install. Secure fit. Instantly makes acquiring targets easier. I cycled 100+ rounds, birdshot & 00 buck, very minor shifting, if any. Bottom line: recommend.

interesting clip-on sight
So, added this to a 12ga and it does work exactly as advertised. And it is incredibly tight on the barrel which is the best and worst thing about it. Holds very well but is a serious pain to adjust once installed. Green fiber is easy to see. However, the fiber is long enough that without the ability to adjust can be misleading. Love the idea and think the manufacturer delivered what they said they would. However, I'm in the middle of the road on whether I think that is sufficient to recommend this product. a good plastic or hard rubber punch and a nylon mallet might go a long way toward making this line up better. On the other hand, once you do get it lined up, it's a ton better than the traditional bead sight.

Fragile
I purchased this for my moss 500 12gauge. Went on easy and stayed in place. Was plenty visible even in low light. One drawback is its extremely fragile and fiber optic broke in pieces. Maybe my fault, but I will not purchase another.

Great snap on Optic Sight, well made. Was difficult to install in order to slide notch into barrel bead though
Giving product 5 stars. Purchased for Mossberg 590 Shockwave 12 gauge with barrel bead. Made of strong plastic. Instructions say install from back first at 45 degree angle, then press down into place. Problem with that is it is impossible to guess if it will line up correctly with bead. Tried that way and was off 1/4 inch and was at an angle. Nearly impossible to remove from 12GA Shockwave barrel once installed. Had to use plastic putty knife to get under and pry for removal. Tried instruction way 2 times and was still off. Went the other way, started by lining up at bead side, then pressed that into place first. Was a little crooked and not into the notch where bead goes. Was able to press opposite end into straight line, then with small punch and hammer, gently tap front end down where notch surrounds bead. After that, I was able to inspect product. Must say that this fiber optic is definitely a winner. I purchased the green version and even in dim light it is very easy to see. Took it into my basement after dark where I have a small led night light. It was enough to lite the green fiber with no problem.. In daylight or bright rooms, the green optic is very intense and easy to see! I had ordered an XS Trijicon for my 12GA with the bead. Found out in order to install the Trijicon, you have to change beads and use JB Weld and actually cold weld night site to shotgun barrel. Then to remove, choices according to mfg is propane torch or something to heat the JB Weld. Not on my new $500 home defense shotgun! Going that route, if you removed, say bye bye to barrel finish! Don't need a night sight that bad. I was very pleased with this Fiber Optic snap on product. So impressed, I ordered 1 more green and the red version to compare. Will keep extra ones for backups. Sometimes good products come and go, so if something like this, I always buy a 2nd one to stash. The optic itself has a small amount of movement. Will place 1 small drop of clear gorilla glue on bead side which will stop the movement.

GREAT product idea
I was wishing my Mossberg 500 12 gauge that I keep handy for home defense had rifle sights. Then I found this fiber optic snap-on sight. I knew this was a good company, I like their "fiber-optic" sights. This is well-engineered and solid as a rock. I followed the directions and snapped it on directly behind the front bead sight on the barrel. The notch in the plastic wasn't quite engaged with the bead, and I had to place the end of the barrel on a surface, place a wood block on the rear of this snap-on assembly and rap on it with a small hammer. I was thinking if I put alcohol on the barrel before I installed the sight, it might slide easier before it dried. But the instructions specifically state to not use strong solvents. I could have just spit on it I guess. It's not a big deal because I got it positioned tight against the front bead, and it's never moving. In low light, or any light, the fiber optics are outstanding in brightness. This isn't for trap shooting, it's your front-door solution. If this looks useful, don't give it a second thought. Order it.

Not exactly what I expected but still good.
I thought it would be visible in the dark and low light. Maybe my mistake. It fits well and is good in lit conditions. Better than the sight the gun came with and for the money it's a good deal.

Super simple/easy but surprisingly good - great for home security, unsure about regular/hardcore usage at full recoil
I had my reservations being such a simple thing but this is pretty good. FYI: I use this on my Mossberg 500A with a legal length security barrel. It also has a parkerized heat shield installed. The security barrel only has a front pin sight.Pros:- no screwing or hardware needed. Literally snaps on in place. Expect that "snap" to be a good one because this thing holds on alot more snugly than you'd think. You need it though - it's a shotty- sight was bright and true enough- it has a V groove that helps you seat this straight directly behind the front sight bead - easy as pieCons:- not sure how many shots it will take to actually move it but for home security purposes, you can't beat it for the price. I really can't see this lasting a very very long time if you regular the range with it but I will say it didn't shift with the 1 box of 00 shells I put through it (full recoil load). I was pleasantly surprised but again, I probably wouldn't think it would be a regular service item without having a slight shift. I am impressed it held on for the one box though. Definitely worth a shot, I'd buy it again

So I found Truglo sight sturdy enough, easy to install so I definitely pleased ...
Tried it on Mossberg 500 12ga 18.5" barrel with 10 slugs It doesn't fall and what most important this sight sits a bit higher that barrel brass bead sight and finally slugs went right on target. Without this sight shotgun was shooting high because barrel brass bead was lower than receiver and it was hard to take a correct aim. So I found Truglo sight sturdy enough, easy to install so I definitely pleased with it. And it will be easy to remove if by any chance I decide to do so.
