Only put this in a few hours ago, but felt compelled to comment so soon.I inherited the pond with the house, it is only 12x6ft x2deep, with 20 or so fish and a few plants. This set may be on the large side for that size pond. But rather too much than not enough. The last filter was homemade so decided not to try and work it out. But within just a few hours the water is so much clearer already. The UV light inspection hole is useful. The water temp and dirty water indicators really useful.No idea on the cleaning of it yet, hence the lower marks. But does not look that difficult. Easy to get to all parts. The instructions are not brilliant if a novice. Still not sure the lid is on the right way round, or even if it matters. But I assume it's right as it's working well. No info on the dirty water indicator also (it's when it's at the top it is dirty) Little things, but something in the instructions would be good. The only real negative is the outlet pipe is only 2 inches or so. It pours a good 6 inches and at a good rate (pump on max). So needs to sit next to the pond. We want ours directed to a waterfall, so I need to get a pipe reducer to go on to this to enable me to use other piping. But no biggie. My mistake expecting something for that end.good price and good at doing what it's meant to. Although, just a few hours; assuming it carries on working, a dam good buy.:UPDATE: cleaning was fun! the filters come out real easy and easy to clean, however, which way the filters go back in is a mystery. Nothing anywhere hows that way the opening should be. The installation manual is pointless as it just says replace them, and the diagram that shows the flow does not indicate which way they should go. I have tried each in every place, yet it constantly says it's dirty yet the water is crystal clear. So it works and is really good. But yet another issue with instruction/installation guides being rubbish. Which seems to be a common issue nowadays. Better off saving paper and not include them for what they are worth.

I imagine 40mm push fit would work but it has a slightly smaller external diameterI purchased the BF-6000 (filter only) to use as a secondary filter to my main filter.My main filter (a Blagdon Clean Pond Machine) already has a UV steriliser but not very good mechanical filtration (great Biological filter though). I wanted to try the BF-6000 as a relatively cheap mechanical filter to supliment my other filter which outputs to a waterfall.The main filter has a valve on it to divert the flow to waste for cleaning - this was a handy connection to tap into to feed the BF6000 and setting this to mid-position, feeds the waterfall and BF6000, allowing me to control the flow rate to the box filter.This works very well and the BF-6000 showed it's woth in a few hour of running, pulling out a considerable amount of suspended solids. It's also easy to clean the foam filters, they just slide out.This was an experiment for me and works very well. Recommended product.

So the good points. Long cables on the pump and the UV box. Variable volume pump and a long pump hose. UV sightglass to conform the UV light is working. The UV lamp is in the box and not in the pond pump so easy to replace/check operation. Water temperature guage. The not so good points. Cheap look and feel plastic fittings. Poor instructions e.g. how to replace the UV lamp which are missing. Instructions state "Position the BF6000 kit adjacent to your pond out of direct sublight" being adjacent to the pond will mean it is in direct sunlight surely for most installations! No external delivery hose and the wrong dimension is stated in the instructions for the outlet spigot dimension. Does not mention if pump maintenance and/or checks are required and what they may be e.g. cleaning etc. No 9X UV lamp specification for ordering replacement. No part numbers or if indeed replacement parts are available just "contact the supplier of your system" most of which are retail sellers of the product only. Only a 1 year limited warranty. Does not come with a spare UV lamp and at this price point I would have expected one.

Easily fitted this to my mega green pond, due to the old uv packing up, fitted the new box and pump on the thursday, cleaned out the filters 4 days later, by day 7 my pond is now crystal clear and i can see my pond fish.

My pond was like pea soup even with a gravity filter however this filter started to work after 3-4 days and eventually it has cleared the water after around 6 weeks. My pond is not large about 2500 litres and 1 meter deep. I’m very happy with the results so far.

My pond just wasn’t clearing no matter what I did and I decided to buy another pump. This has been an amazing purchase. I couldn’t see my pond at all so I installed this at 7pm last night. It is now 9:41am and I can’t believe how clear my pond is.I can actually see my fish. Very simple to install too. Worth every penny.

Within.24 hours this filter has made a difference to the quality of the water, greatly improved, recommended buy 👌

Have had this complete kit running in my pond for three days supposed to clear the green water well let me tell you it doesn't what a waste of £120

Filtre à débordement, cela veut dire que la pompe doit "pousser" l'eau vers le filtre et non "tirer" celle ci. Autrement dit, ce filtre doit être placé en position haute de votre bassin pour recevoir l'eau de celui ci par l'entremise de la pompe, puis l'eau filtrée coule naturellement par gravitation vers le bassin. Impossible d'inverser le processus (filtre plus bas que le niveau de l'eau et pompe à la sortie du filtre pour remonter l'eau vers la surface). Bon ce n'est pas une critique, mais il faut juste le savoir avant de l'acheter (et c’était mon cas!)

Filtre facile à mettre en place, mais attention à l'étanchéité ! Premièrement, l'orientation de la canule qui envoie l'eau à l'intérieur du filtre est importante. Elle doit être parfaitement orientée vers le bas. Dans mon cas, elle était légèrement tournée vers le côté, et l'eau s'échappait au goutte à goutte à l'extérieur. Je ne m'en suis pas aperçu, et j'ai perdu une dizaine de centimètres d'eau en quelques jours dans mon bassin de 1000L. De plus, l'emplacement pour un éventuel filtre UV n'est pas obturé. Les moustiques s'en donnent à cœur joie, puisque l'eau n'est pas très mouvementée à l'intérieur du filtre. Bref, un joint d'étanchéité sur tout le pourtour aurait été le bienvenu.
