Handmadecart Leather Messenger Bag for Men and Women (15 inch)

Excellent product especially for the price

My daughter just recently received the bag so I can't speak on the long-term durability, but it is very nice looking. The stitching looks secure, all the snaps and straps are there, and the color is very even. It just fits a 15 inch laptop; it's tight, but the leather is still structured so I expect that to loosen up. Since she usually just carries her tablet with her to school, that isn't an issue at all. The fact that it stands on its own instead of melts into a puddle went set down is a plus. There was barely any smell at all, so I can't address the other peoples complaints. No oil staining on clothing or skin, or "globs of goo" either. The inside lining is smooth and clean. We both like that it isn't huge and can be used for men and women. I'll update later if there are any issues with the durability. But, as of this moment, she's thrilled with the look and feel of this bag.

I bought this bag to use at work. I love this bag, it is very durable and looks great. There is two issues that I am not fond of. The first one is the material they applied to the inside leather pockets is sticky and a little smelly. Secondly the string or thread used to sew in the zippers is loose hanging from the zipper area. Neither issue is bad enough to return or not to order the bag again but things I would like to recommend correcting in the further. Other than that I have used my bag for several months now to carry files and paperwork. I have carried considerable loads in my bag and it has held up fine. There is plenty of storage space for pens, pencils, paper, etc. I am pleased with my purchase and would buy this bag again. I have received many compliments at work on this bag. I have been using it now for several months and it has held up through snow, rain, and heavy carry loads and still looks great. I have done virtually nothing in terms of maintenance such as appling any products to the leather partly because the worn look adds to the charm of the bag and because I really haven't had to. The bag with the exception of the string issue noted earlier is very well made.

I looked at many cases before buying this bag. There's no doubt that you can spend double the money and get a little better case. However, after 2 months of daily use, I'm very satisfied with this product. It's handmade, but it's also pretty durable. I've had a couple loose threads that I've trimmed, but that's it for the complaint department. The snaps are heavy duty and click without any effort. It stays closed when you need it to be closed. I keep a laptop inside the middle compartment with various paperwork on either side. The computer has survived a few tough falls with no problem. I feel as if I've made a good buy and if the last few tough months show me anything it's that I'll be using this case for a long time!

Not sure what some of the smell complaints are about. It smells like leather, not the fake leather smell that we have been accustomed to smelling, but real raw leather. I do think that if you leave it out in the sun to air out, that smell would dissipate as well, but for me I like it. Now, is the bag perfect, No, but nothing handmade usually is. That is what gives this bag character. Yes, some of the stitching is not perfectly straight, but it is not a machine making these, it is a craftsman. I think it is cool to know that most likely no two of these bags are the same. If you want an authentic leather bag with character, this is it. If you are looking for a perfect machine made bag, pay the big bucks and pick another one. I am well pleased and have a hard time believing that anyone can make any money at this price point. I am extremely happy and urge others to join in my happiness by purchasing one too.

I have had the messenger bag for about a month. I bought it to replace a nice leather ine i got in Italy. I didn't want to spend much but I wanted a nice, stylish leather messenger bag to carry my Surface tablet and work files/papers.I read the reviews before purchasing. Some of them talked ablut a bad smell and others talked abiut poor quality. But most of the reviews were good. So I bought it. I paid about $40.My take after having it and using it for a month is that it is a good value for $40. It's nice and the smell some complained about is a normal leather smell that want away after a few days. The bag is lighter in color than in the pictures on the product page. The quality seems pretty good. I stuff a lot into it and it doesn't look like it is coming apart anywhere. I dud notice on the shoulder strap that some of the threads appear to be unraveling.I think it's a nice bag for $40. I use it and I am happy with the purchase.
