I use this for melt & pour soap. It holds a lot. I get 7 standard size soaps from this. I would not put this directly on a burner. It is certainly not wide enough at the bottom for my gas burner & I think the handle might not hold up. I just use one of my pots filled with an appropriate amount of water & put the melting pot in it - making a double boiler. Works perfectly & I love the handle for pouring the melted soap in the mold. I don't make soap to sell so I only make small amounts at a time. Glad I bought this melting pot. If you sell your soap, you might need a larger melting pot to make more at one time.

Pretty standard, I used these for making candles. This is easy to clean (I use isopropyl alcohol), easy to use, durable and isn't heavy. Pours just fine for me! The handle doesn't get hot which is nice. Would order again if I need another one! (Pic its it used lol)

I used this over a gas stove and it worked like a charm. It was easy to clean out and didnt hold smells. For the size of candles I was making it worked perfectly.

Used this to melt wax to make egg candles. It was really easy and quick. It held a lot of wax too.

This was a great product. I purchased it for melting wax for candle and soap making. It holds the wax in a pot of water that is boiling. I made the mistake of leaving the candle out of the pot, and the bottom of the handle melted. From then on, I put the handle in the water, and it seemed to do ok. Really sturdy stainless steel and the handle is comfortable to hold. Great quality and product.
