Garden Pruning Shears - 8" Classic Hand Pruner - Secateurs Steel Garde

Real nice for both left hardens an right handers.
These are really great garden pruning shears. I am ambidextrous and they work equally well left and right. the large handle provides easy and more than adequate leverage. The only reason I did not give them a five star rating is that is a slight gap at tips and they do nip thin plants. You have to move about 1/3 of the way down the blade to insure a smooth cut. But they do handle good size stems with ease. The locking is most conveniently located, easy to open and close but is not likely to accidentally open or close during use a real pulse IMHO. The blades seem sharp but the tips are nicely rounded so they don't present a stabbing threat. If there was a 4 and half star rating I would give them that.

Good for larger hands
The design with one closed handle makes these more convenient in some circumstances than pruners like Felcos. They do not cut cleanly down to the tip but do a good job with heavier stems and small branches cut closer in to the jaw. They are sturdy and heavy, and the lock is handy. I would use them more if they fit me better - no fault of the product but be forewarned they are made for larger hands.

Love the design!
These pruners have made me realize how dull my others pruners are! I love this pair! So smooth. They are a breeze to use trimming, dead heading, and gathering roses and hydrangeas for bouquets. The feature I look for is the part that shields my knuckles and the back of my hand from nicks and cuts. Makes perfect sense to have that design to protect ur hand!

Easy to handle
It is beautifully made, and easy to handle. It works very smoothly. It is very sharp. I like the safety lock. But I would like to suggest in the future to add on the packaging how to unlock instructions and add a reusable bags for safe storage. Other than that I recommend this product highly. The company has a great customer service that shows they care about customer. I shall shop with them again.

Not the best.
These pruning shears have a nice handle and I liked the mechanism. The only problem is that they don't seem to be precision sharpened. Most of the time I had to work the blades a few times to cut through thin shrubs' wood and the green stems were smashed while pruning. I'll keep them in my tool box as a back up pair.

ease of use/
They work fine on small branches or dead heading but not on large tough stuff. comfortable to use would buy them again.

Poor quality, returning product.
It does not cut at all due to gap between scissor blades. I’m not impressed with quality so I’m returning product.

Just used these yesterday -- they worked pretty well, but I don't know if they will ever compare to the garden shears I lost. Those were slightly sharper and the blades were super straight -- no curve at all. That said, these should work well for the flower arrangements I'm doing for a wedding coming up.
