Great fan, works with Inkbird
I was skeptical after Amazon posted this is a frequently returned item. I wanted a simple to use, effective cooling fan to use with my inkbird controller. You just plug the fan directly into the controller and skip the fan controller they include . The bottom line is this will cool your tank. Best of all, it can be used on a Fluval Spec 5 tank .

Perfection!!!!!
So I got this for our axolotl tank and tubs, The design is fantastic I love that the cords the connect the fans to the controller are nice and long they aren't short at all! Gives me the freedom to position them wherever I want. I currently am using two on the tubs and the third on the tank with no strain! The controller has 5-6 different speeds which is also amazing, it also has a timer which I haven't used to the full extent yet but the trial run of it went great. It currently keeps the tubs a consistent temp with no issues! This is a fantastic alternative for a chiller or if you need to keep temps down without freezing the water!10/10 would recommend to anyone that is looking for an alternative to a chiller!

Aquarium Fan Game-Changer
I'm absolutely blown away by the value and performance of this aquarium fan. My home can get scorching, often reaching 77°F, but this fan consistently keeps my 20-gallon long aquarium at a comfortable 71°F. It's compatible with my h2Pro 30-inch glass lid and features a convenient timer that allows for both continuous or interval operation. While it doesn't fully integrate with a temperature controller (requiring a manual power button press), the fan's quiet operation is a major plus. It's practically silent, ensuring my shrimp remain happy and healthy in their optimal environment. If you're looking to maintain a stable aquarium temperature, this fan is a must-have.

Fans work
Bought these for an axolotl setup. They don’t fit over the rim of the tank so I set them up hanging from the hood. It was an oversight by me to not realize they wouldn’t fit on my tank but also hugger could have made the attachment to have a little bit more space to squeeze over the rim. Other than that they work well and keep the water cool

Pleasantly surprised how cool it got the tanks
I am very pleased with these fans! We are in California and went through a very hot summer with a broken Air conditioner, temps have been 110-114. Our 4 tanks were getting up in the high 80s and even 90s at one point, we lost 2 of our Fancy goldfish and I think it was just too hot for them. I purchased these fans 3 sets of 3, I put 3 on our 60gallon, 2 on our 55 gallon and 2 on the 40 gallon and one on our 37 gallon. The first night they worked TOO Good , the tanks were all around 68 degrees by morning! So, I turned on the heaters for my tropical tanks and between the heater and the fans the water has stayed 76 degrees, on my goldfish tanks I don't have heaters but I turned the fans down and they are staying right around 70-72 degrees. You will have to be creative with the attachments, it won't fit on the rim of the tank so I turned my glass lids around and attached to the glass. These would be perfect with a wider attachment or a clip on, That would be my only complaint but overall very happy and so are the 🐟 fish

Not Worth the Price
I was not satisfied with the Hygger Aquarium Chillers Fan. The cooling effect is minimal, and it didn’t seem to lower the tank temperature as promised, even at full speed. The fan is noisy and disturbs the quiet of the tank, which isn’t ideal for a peaceful aquarium environment. It’s also bulky and didn’t fit well in my tank setup. Overall, it didn’t perform as advertised and is not a good solution for tank cooling.

You can bypass the included controller!
A feature I don't see mentioned in many reviews (or even in the included manual) is that the included controller can be bypassed if you are using a thermostat like an inkbird with heat/cool capabilities and you want to leave the fans in an always on state so the thermostat can do its thing. I saw negative reviews complaining about this, so wanted to leave a review as I was purchasing another second set. Yes, those reviews are correct in that when power is cut then comes on again, the controller will not turn the fans on until you press a button on it.But, you can just ignore the included controller. Just put it to one side and connect the fans directly to the power supply (its the same plug), then switch the fans to 'on' at each unit. This creates an 'always on' state that can then be controlled by any other controller you want to use (that work by controlling power to an outlet).

They work great!
I have a rimmed tank so I had to get creative and was able to use these by mounting them on my lid, half pulled back over the light bar. I’m using two fans on my 29 tall tank and one on my 6 gallon semi hex shrimp tank. If I didn’t have that lid I would not have been able to use them on the rimmed tank!As you can see in photo, it is 88 degrees in the room and the fans are keeping the tanks at 78, which is what the heaters are set for. It’s been hotter and they still keep the temp where it should be. There is A LOT of evaporation, but adding water daily is absolutely worth keeping the tanks at the right temp! These are a great value, way less expensive than a chiller.
