My Dad's WWII History
I want to personaly Thank Peter Turnbull for gathering and writing this History Book of the 307th Airborne Engineers Battalion. With this History from the first page to the last I was able to follow every battle my Dad was involved in. The use of the "1st Platoon Company C" on the back cover was very emotional to see a picture I did'nt have. Like most veterins my dad did'nt talk about his experance in the war. As it turned out on the night of June 6, "D-Day" I was able to find out that he was one of the first to jump into Normandy as a Pathfinder at St Sauveur Le Vicomte. Your map of the LZ on that night and what happend the following days was a picture of what every hero in the 307th did. Thank You again for filling in the events of not only my dad's part but the parts of the Brave Man of the 307th Eng. Battalion 82nd Airborne.

great piece of engineer history
As a proud member currently serving in this famed battalion this is a great example of what a determined group of American Paratroopers can do. I love this book and use it as a reference to not only motivate my self but also those with whom i serve
