PROPER BEESWAX, I bought to wax waterproof the sides of my favourite day bag for work everyday. It is on the internet how to wax fabric yourself. Fantastic idea but best to do in hot summer , outdoors. I melted wax in old metal pot on oven. whizzed outside and continued over a candle or any flame, then used hair dryer lightly over side of bag to heat (it will help spread the wax evenly and quicker), Best to have all the tools set up in place before you work, as working quickly is important while the wax is runny. Wipe wax on heated or warmer fabric bag with a wooden spatula(which can be disposable or a lollipop stick end)-like WAXING OF LEGS FOR WOMEN). then SPREAD IT OUT AND HAIRDRYER ONTO THE WAX ITSELF TO SPREAD IT EVENLY. should SPREAD TO ALL SEAMS and it will then dry fairly quick. Leave it still in a flat position while drying. Then when it rains on you and the bag is on your back(mine was an over shoulder bag I wore over my back on the long walk home), water just runs off the waxed fabric- wonderful - and not water damage to paper and documents I took home from work. This was black wax for a black fabric bag I used it on. I bought white or cream also on this site for different bags. If you have a favourite bag or item it is great to make it weatherproof for longer. Many other uses for this wax- this was just one. Many fabrics and shoes even can be brought a new life or waterproofed or polished. You are welcome to ask me questions on how I waterproofed.

I was taught Many Moons ago how to Bees Wax a Pair of Ammo Boots at "The University Pirbright" to Melt pure Bees wax then layer" Parade Gloss" and keep doing this until it soaks in to the Leather until You get a good coating.Let the boot Dry then with a tin lid smooth the wax out. The above Brogues took a little while longer because of the Detailing with holes and Patterns on the Leather. These are excellent wax Blocks ,it melts well and because it has the Black colour in it already it cuts out the use of "Parade Gloss" until You get the leather and Wax smooth and how You want it ready for Bulling with "The Parade Gloss" Excellent Product

this item .. although i havent used it yet seems to be a good job and i cant wait to use it on my parade shoes / boots

Good quality wax, I don't use it for my boots but I have used it to wax black heavy thread which helps when hand stitching vinyl or leather, stops the thread from knotting.I would buy again.

Dose not set hard so will be no good on ammo boots.
