This book isn't for the complete beginner, it's for someone who knows the basics and wants to learn more. There are some good pictures to copy.

Lovely book, bit short on content, not so many different animals, but the ones that are included are really great to draw.

I have become a fan of the Walter Foster learn to draw books. They are written for the artist just starting out and provide good visual instruction in order to achieve a satisfactory result right away. This book is no exception. The instructions are easy to follow. It helps you to begin to understand tone and texture in your work, and how you can achieve this with shading and the proper use of your materials. It is visually attractive and informative, and it provides delightful practice material for you work on as you continue to grow as an artist.

He quedado sorprendido con la gran calidad y el excelente estado de uso de estos libros. Aunque sean, algunos de ellos, en segunda mano, estan en perfecto estado de conservación. Me encantó la experiencia y seguro que trataré de comprarme algunos libros más en estas condiciones, por si acaso estén en tan buenas condiciones :-)

I used the step-by-step instructions to add dimension and texture to sketches that I did from photos of animals. I learned a lot about how to draw fur textures using shadows and negative space.
