Portable Mosquito Killer Unit, Battery Powered, Camping & Outdoor Use

I tried this on my trip to Chengdu in China and I think it was effective, though as others say its difficult to know if its the product or just luck. One place I stayed was a place I'd been a couple of years ago at about the same time of year and I'd been bitten to death. This time not a single bite at night when I had it on. Another place it seemed effective was a bit of a dive hotel where the walls were covered with squashed mozzies from previous residents - not a single bite with this on.The unit is well made but the fan doesn't look very impressive and its hard to believe its doing anything - but I guess it does. One good thing is that the chemical is odourless - I hate the hotel ones which have a strong smell. The unit even comes with a couple of 'indutrial' strength batteries and one filter includedAs I said its hard to know if its works or not, as it could just be luck (I never saw piles of dead mosquitoes from it) but for the cost and it small size its certainly worth trying.

Loved this unit used in South Africa and worked great- just tried to purchase some refills and told they have been discontinued. Really disappointing as unit works exceptionally well

We bought this on a recommendation from a friend as we were going to Scotland in a VW campervan in August! The campervan was not completely midge proof, so we used this in the evening for a couple of hours once we weren't going to open the door again. It was very satisfying to watch the midges react the moment we switched on the machine, and after a few minutes they would die. Some mornings we estimated about 1000 midges had been killed overnight.The filter lasts about a week, so make sure you buy a pack of spares if you are using it on holiday for longer than a week.Would highly rate this little machine and I was sceptical to start with. Not used yet on mosquitoes, but guess it will be as effective.

I honestly thought that this little box wasn't going to be up to much... but it proved me wrong. Small it may be, but very efficient in killing the dreaded Highland midgie!I bought this for keeping in my little campervan, but ended up trying it out at home first (why is it that bluebottles can come in an open window or front door, but can't find their way back out the same way??).Totally silent and odourless, you will forget that it's switched on.When I took it in the campervan, I found that it was strong enough to have switched on and sited near the open door to keep the vast majority of flying beasties out.Would I recommend this portable mosquito killer... most definitely yes! I'm going to order another for keeping at home.

Holiday booked for 26th March . Saw a comment about expiry and checked out my box of 5 and dismayed to find expiry at end of March when I ordered in February

Ideal for keeping you tent (mine is a two man tent) bug free. To date I have had no allergy issues to the pesticide /mosquito killer. I alos have used in the amaxon rain forest (log cabin) and suffered no ill effects. Althougth in this case i combined with anti- mosquito skin lotion. Small and compact and easy to transport and the whole pack gives upto 60 days protection. Being fragrence free is ideal but it does make it difficult to dertemine when the refill is used up. So remember to change every 12 hours or so and always use a new refill if not used for a while. UPDATE I have mine for years and still works although the issue now is getting hold of the refills...

Bought this for a weekend in the Highlands. After an hour of running it had all the midges in the room killed and we could enjoy our time. Since buying this I have friends and family that have bought them as it so good! Small unit, battery powered and scent less makes it a great piece of kit to stop those little biters!
