Excellent product for fixing messy oil pastels

Arrived on time. It does exactly as it says on the tin. Fixed my oil pastel work brilliantly.

I use Caran d'Ache exclusively in my art work. Oil pastels are tricky to protect and this product does the job. I always have this available.

Perfect for sealing oil pastel work. Dries completely in 5 minutes. No smudging afterwards.

Having struggled with fixing oil pastels - (normal fixatives are a disaster)- this product is worth it’s weight in gold! Highly recommend it to anyone facing the same problem.

For the brand and the price i was expecting complete fixation, the thing is...After doing multiple works using oil pastel, i see that if you don't fill heavily the paper with pastel there is more chances to achieve the expected fixative outcome, but if you tend to apply more considerable pastel the outcomes end up being dubious. Sometimes i could achieve complete fixation , sometimes almost complete (very thin layer still staying wet), sometimes half. In fact if your space has too much wind you will have some difficulty. All applications that i made were multiple layers but on the same hour of the day, i didn't try multiple days of application but it would increase for sure the artwork cost if your are intending to sell.

wanted to stop my soft pastels from smearing when used on wood with wood burning after 1 coat I was still able to add more soft pastel then reseal with another coat

Exactement ce que je cherchais, fixe parfaitement mes pastels à l'huile, avec deux couches. Attention à bien doser, n'en mettez pas trop !

Magico, perfetto, asciuga subito e vale tutti quei soldi. Mantiene il colore del pastello ad olio, vellutato e morbido e lo fissa in modo permanente, probabilmente acquisterò di nuovo 🌺💖💕💘
