After 2+ years of ownership, holding up pretty well...
The yellow gloves read as a green so I returned them for the "BLST" pattern (black / blue / orange / yellow). My (almost 9) year old has been in the Small size for about 2 years and hasn't yet moved to Medium. My (almost 7) year old has been wearing XS since age four and just graduated to the Small. Both boys are slightly above average height though I'm not sure if that really has a correlation to glove size.Gloves are good / very good quality and there's a trade-off between comfort and durability. For two years old the gloves on-hand have held up pretty well, but with the stitching coming unraveled (but not unusable) around one of the fingers on the pair that my youngest wears. Considering the age of the customer, that's probably to be expected, so I'm not disappointed -- but they could be tougher.Frequency of use between bikes and scooters (and picking up stuff they find on the side of the trail) is a couple to a few times per month, year round.

XS Fits my 5 1/2 year old girl "like a glove" and they're COMFY
XS Fits my 5 1/2 year old girl "like a glove". Pun intended AND yeah, they fit GREAT. Comfortable as well, as my daughter has now removed other skateboard pads but left the gloves on as she likes the look and fit. Yes, I said skateboard because although they don't provide the wrist protection they DO provide major scrapes on the palms protection and I also have separate wrist protectors which are not comfortable and hence don't get worn as much as they should. My experience with all wrist protectors is they bind your arm between shims and can make you feel very OUT of touch with your riding environment. Now, I'm sure the wrist protector gloves for skateboarding offer better protection and are gonna save you from some bad accidents but consider what your kid is doing on their ride/board/skates before you send them out there wearing a kevlar body suit. Are they going down the road or are they trying half pipes? If they're going down the road these gloves will most likely avoid scrapes that cause a lot of crying AND THEY'RE COMFORTABLE which is the key. Any safety device that isn't comfy isn't going to be used as much. If your kid is trying jumps or ramps throw on a separate wrist guard and you're covered in a lot of areas. For casual riding these gloves rule.

Use the size guide on the Mfr's website
Bought these gloves for my 4-year old. I went to the company's website and used their size chart, following their directions to determine that I needed the extra-small size. They fit him pretty well, with just a little of room to grow into them. This is what I expected after reading the size chart on the website. The tops are stretchy and comfortable and my child loves them. The palms seem strong enough to protect against falls, and the cut-away fingertips allow the use of the handlebar bell that my child loves to ring frequently. Very happy with this purchase. I only took off one star because some extra string was hanging off some of the seems and needed to be trimmed. Not sure how long those seems are going to hold. We have been using them several times per week for the past month, and so far they are holding up in perfect condition.

Good gloves, difficult to figure out sizing though.
I ordered these gloves for my 9 year old daughter. I ordered the large, and the sizing was hard to figure out so I had to just guess. I think they fit a little big once on, but they are a little tricky to get on and off so the large seems to be good for that. There is not a lot of grip or padding to them though. She uses them mostly for the gymnastics bar and they provide a little grip but not much more. It does protect her from blisters though, but they are a little slippery. They always end up inside out when she takes them off though. The quality and design are great, and for the price I would still buy them again.

Durable and bright
These are a great kids bike glove, and I like the bright colors they come in. They have a nice cushion on the palm and a good grip to them. Although I think they are slightly expensive they are cheaper than most other similar quality bike gloves I priced so I guess that makes the price fair... ! They have been holding up well for going on two years now with my eldest son and I am happy enough with them that I purchased his younger siblings each a pair of their own this year. I think bike gloves help the kiddos keep up with the adults better and enjoy long bike rides more - which means they'll want to go out again! Only note - the tag on the top inside is ridiculously big for a small child's glove so grab some scissors and carefully snip it out before handing the gloves over!

Read this before you choose a size...
I love these adorable cycling gloves bought for my granddaughter, however, don't pay attention too much to the other reviewers claiming these are small.... Because of these reviewers I ordered a large for my 7 year old and these fit me! A womens medium. They do have a Velcro opening at the wrist and could be adjusted tighter, but now that I ordered these too large and they no longer have the medium size, I am bummed that I paid attention to reviewers.Never having worn these before I didn't know, they're very stretchy and a JR large fits a womens medium. I might look for the pink in a womens small - that might fit her better. I ordered a womens medium for my daughter and they appear to be the same size as these JR L size gloves...Hope this help you when you shop. The pink camo is adorable.

A little small but awesome!
I bought these gloves for my 8 year old daughter who loves to bike. The first pair I ordered was according to her actual size, and it was just a touch small. I returned the product with no problems at all and got a larger size which fit like a 'glove'. They are a great pair of gloves for kids and the price is fabulous. The stitching is done well and strong, and the gloves have been great and held up well, even form kids torture. They got really dirty from lots of play, even off the bike, and we put them through the washing machine and they cleaned up wonderfully, the Velcro around the wrist still functions perfectly too. My daughter loves the gloves and the color. This was a great purchase for me.

This was a gift but I know that my grandson is thoroughly enjoying biking with his gloves.

Polaris mitts are better for kids
Great quality but sized rather large. I should have bought a size down for my small 6 year old. Also has virtually no padding. Polaris stuff is better.

good gloves
Fitted 4 year old daughter hands well and they have a good growing space. The velcro strap gives you a quite wide flexibility. We bought them for the scooter as it stops grit and stuff when they inevitably crash.
