An amazing visual history of Mute
An amazing visual history of Mute along with informative text. This is a hefty dive. If you are a fan of Mute acts like Depeche Mode, Fad Gadget, The Normal, etc. you will love this book. It is a short read but with extensive graphics. It has a $45 list and Amazon is selling it at a deep discount right now, Dec. 2017.

Great documentary on the history of most bands you for forgot you liked
Great book with a great design. To the V2 records review , this book is not a document of V2 records or any other record company such as Some Bizarre or Wax Trax cod which some of these bands were on as well. There is a good reason you are not mentioned , that is because this is the history of Mute and the book delivers that history in spades. Very well done, an excellent purchase.

This is what current music is missing today.
Great document from one of the best independent labels that shows what happens when people bet on raw innovation in music.

Good "coffee table" reference book on an important independent music ...
Good "coffee table" reference book on an important independent music label. Comprehensive and plenty of pictures. Only let down by the design-led edging. The books feels like it won't be staying in one piece for very long :(

Mute through the years!
This is a delightful record of the Mute label, which has a very distinctive identity and which definitely shaped my musical tastes over the years. It's rather beautifully produced, though the binding is a little strange!

A visual treat. Thank you DM and DM, if you know what I mean
Wow! Thank you Daniel Miller for this treat of a document. My main focus for buying this was Depeche Mode and their 7" singles, 12" singles and album art but it's also interesting to see the other artists' work too. Always loved the walking man Mute Records logo.

Some Great Reward!
Yes, it's a little expensive, but what a treat. Beautifully bound, carefully curated, and every turn of the page brings joy. Arrived well packaged so no dents in the hardback casing or the spine. Recommended as a curio for fans of the Mute label / Depeche Mode / Nick Cave in particular. This is a keeper.

which looks like it wouldn’t stand up to lots of use
Unusual binding, which looks like it wouldn’t stand up to lots of use, but a very nice book, lots of detail. If you love music it’s a very interesting book.
