Brilliant amp
Tiny, light, simple, great sound. works brilliantly for practice, stands up well to the drummer in rehearsals, even with the small BC108 speaker (which sounds great btw). Surprisingly good for small gigs too, for which I use the very good 12” vox speaker. Large gigs need it to be mic’d up, but that’s not surprising.

This Little Amp Is NOT a Toy!
As an owner of six Vox valve amplifiers, including an AC 30 c/w blue alnicos, I bought this little one out of interest thinking that it might be handy for practise in the house. Boy was I wrong... It has an amazing output and range of tones. I wired a cabinet up to run at 4ohms and the volume is definitely more than enough for a small to medium gig. More if you use the line output to feed into the PA. I would recommend this amp for to anyone who likes the crystal clear cleans Vox are renowned for plus that beautiful crunch sound which is great for so many different genres. I bought the AC version of the MV50 to compare it with the real AC. The cleans etc are pretty well matched although the tonal range isn't quite as wide but for it's size and portability, I think it is amazing and will try the other ones in the series.

Amazing little amp!
The guy who runs my local jam session bought two of these with the 8" cabs... I was blown away at how clear, versatile, and lightweight they are - literally sitting in the palm of your hand! I run in through a 12" cab with an array of pedals before it; it eats pedals, no extra distortion or muddying of my required sound. The power scaling function is a great feature - on 1/100th you can merrily jam in your room, but beware the other two settings, they soon ramp up the power! For exaple half volume at 1/10th is loud enough to play over an acoustic drum kit. Buy one!! If only for a back up!!

vox mv50
Use this a lot for guitar practice. Once set up (and it takes a bit of experimentation) it’s a great amp. Coupled with a speaker it is a great bit of kit

It's excellent
This little amp is unbelievable.I used to own a vox ac 15 hand wired but I sold it when I stopped gigging.I has a little transistor amp which was good but there was something missing.I could hear what the transistor amp was trying to do but it just didn't do it .These amps definitely do it ,they sound amazing. You get all the tube warmth/clean or overdriven.Plus it's ridiculously loud. You can pick the amp up with your little finger yet turn it up and it is loud.It gets all the sound if my old vox ac 15 .You won't regret this ampJust do it .

Vox MV50 AC
A friend of mine told me about this amplifier, and to ne honest I didn't believe him! This tiny amplifier is quite astounding. Using 'Nutube' technology this pocket sized amp can output 50 watts of pure RMS power into 4 ohms, 25watts into 8 ohms, or 12.5watts into 16 ohms.As it is based on 'valve' technology, it retains the charactoristics of the original Vox AC30 - and I've had a few over the year - but it doesn't get hot and runs on 19volts.There are other models available, and at £154, top value - try one!!

AC30 in a tiny box (unfortunate buzz on out of phase settings though)
Update -Once you add a treble booster it becomes a bit noisy and out of phase settings have a hum to the sound on recordingI was looking for something for home recording to get a decent Brian May sound. This little box of tricks does a pretty convincing job of that. The trademark cleans and classic overdrive are there. The Nu Tube technology works great, giving a real tube amp performance without the fragile tubes. The box is so small it would easily fit inside a guitar caseWatching some of the Youtube videos demonstrating this with a real Speaker Cab, shows that its more than capable of producing the distinctive sound and with the volume to play live with this. How they have made this so small is mindblowing, I remember back breaking amps from my past this thing weighs next to nothing.A great bit of kit at a great price

For those about to rock
I didn't expect this amp to pack a punch but was I ever wrong. It's loud and does what it says it can. I'm using it with a 1x12, reverb, a plexi drive and a booster. I was at something to give me that Malcolm Young sounds and it does when you push the amp. With my set up and done heavy strumming it sounds good. Yet to push it to it's limits but vox have created something wonderful
