Awesome, yogurt like it should be , not the supermarket gelatin paste
Easy, peasy lemon squeezy ( i don't understand how some say it doesn't work ) there was a bit of slimy water on the first culture but that settled with progressive culture and only clear water and yoghurt ( rather a curd) you can change it from sweet or sour as per your taste buds depending how you culture, I prefer a bit tangy. i had struggled with the slimy water if I used gelatinous market yoghurt as a starter. used both gold and blue top milks - works like a breeze

Helping environmentally and great fresh yoghurt
Great so far, using my mums yoghurt maker which is 45 yrs old! Using semi skimmed milk, 1 litre and onto 4 th batch using one yoghurt pot to deculture. Seems to take 8 hours overnight in the yoghurt maker but first time I used the culture I had to do it twice to set. Whole family loving it esp mixed with jam and feel like we’re helping environmentally by not buying lots of plastic yoghurt pots.

For good results (thick yogurt) I slowly heat 'whole 4 % ...
The starter works well and makes yogurt as advertised. The only complaint is the price. And using the last batch for the next one is too tricky: the next one often becomes watery. Finally I am usually using Danone + probiotics capsule: works well and you pay 1/10th. For good results (thick yogurt) I slowly heat 'whole 4 % milk' close to boiling, keep there for couple of minutes and let it slowly cool down.

Delicious
I bought this because I wanted to make my own yoghurt. I've been doing this for months now, using these starter cultures, and the result is delicious. The process is very easy, and these cultures come with a very detailed guide about how to make yours, including tips about making it with "unusual" milks and advice about troubleshooting any problem (I never had any). After you have activated the cultures in one packet, you can use the yoghurt you made to start the next batch, and you'll only need a new packet after quite a while, when the cultures start to get weaker and don't produce any more the quality of yoghurt they did at the beginning. If you have a live yoghurt you particularly like, you can add a spoonful of that when you make your new batch, together with the cultures obtained from this starter; I had excellent results doing that too!

Magic
I bought it for my partner so he can experiment with yoghurt making. He bought organic full fat milk, boiled it for 10-15 mins (as suggested on youtube!), waited until the temprature was down to a correct level, mixed one of the sachets and was magic...We had a very tasty yoghurt in the morning and actually was solid and creamy. Next time around we used a small sample from the yoghurt he made previously and we are on fourth round...so it is actually superb value for money as you only use just for the initial creation of the yoghurt and then continue from your own yoghurt...

can culture only once, not as they say
It says that you can make more by re culturing you can't. The first culture was OK. I followed the instructions for a second culture and nothing happened I just ended up with milk. I think that is why you get 3 sachets. It works out more expensive if you have to use a sachet every time so its a waste of money, better of buying a small pot of yoghurt for 60p as I used to do and will now go back to doing

30 AM I have PROPER BEST HOMEMADE YOGHURT
Satches were delivered yesterday, incubated at 5 in the evening , today at 11:30 AM I have PROPER BEST HOMEMADE YOGHURT. More and more people should make yoghurt at home as the ones on supermarket shelves are only sweet puddings. It's a shame that despite conditions like IBS, Crohns and coeliac on the rise , little attention is given to this simple practice which can prevent and significantly reduce the symptoms for better quality of life.

This starter is excellent. I bought pack of 3 to try and each sachet made 3 QT firm yogurt . Highly recommend this brand. Will buy more packs.

The first batch was watery. Through it into a second batch immediately and worked great

Satisfecha.
