This product is good at what it does, which is provide an ultralight tarp you can lay on for times you're packing light. Quality is good, item is extremely thin but is reinforced so it won't rip. It weighs close to nothing and you can attach it to your backpack. Like the description says, you can have about 5 people sitting on this, or 2 if you lay down. I would like to provide a fair warning that you should not rely on ultra compact blankets for beach use as they are very thin and do nothing to protect you from the heat of the sand. This is not a defect of the item, it comes with the territory of being a thin blanket.Note: I revised this review accordingly after customer service reached out to me. I was initially upset at nearly burning my feet on the tarp on the beaches of LA (per the item description, tarp is sandproof!), but it's really my own fault for not knowing that this meant the sand rolls right off, and not that it's insulated. It would've been fairly obvious to me had I tried looking over the tarp before bringing it to the beach. Furthermore, if anything happens to the product and it does rip, customer service, through their responses, have demonstrated that they care about their customers and stand behind their products.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product! The price was pretty low as compared to other pocket blankets, so I wasn't expecting too much. But after using the blanket for a couple of months I'm really satisfied with it. It's super light and compact, and conveniently rolls up to be stuffed into a little pocket that's stitched into the edge of the blanket. And it's not like you have to wring it like a wet towel to get it to fit into that pocket; it fits in there with plenty of room to spare. I suppose you could even tuck some smaller articles into the pocket if you wanted to. The waterproofing is durable and doesn't wear off easily, and the blanket has some loops along the edges for staking it down if you're so inclined. The blanket isn't huge -- don't buy it expecting to use it for warmth, it's just meant to serve as a picnic blanket -- but it is big enough to seat yourself and a few friends at a damp music festival without getting a muddy bottom. Overall, I'm very pleased.

This great tarp/blanket is a wonderful asset to add to your backpack. In addition to being extremely light it is small when placed back in its bag and can even be stuffed in your pocket. I used this to create a water free barrier on the ground next to the creek, while we ate our lunch. I can see that in the future it will have many uses, and may even be kept in the car and used as a light blanket. Its lightweight and yet durable fabric will make it a very versatile tarp, blanket, and can be strapped above your tent or picnic area to keep the sun or rain away. I love how light and small it is (the size of a queen bed). I don't do well trying to strap up large or heavy tarps, so this is the perfect product for me.

Went camping with this gem in Yosemite and am in LOVE! This is so easy to pack in a backpack for a day hike, and incredibly easy to fold back up. It is very waterproof and didn't pick up nearly as much mud as other tarps I have bought before. For the price this is a steal and will definitely be with me on all my future day hikes.

I used this blanket backpacking in the south. It's been very handy to add protection from some nasty mattresses in hostels and guest houses. It makes a good improvised separation wall in shared rooms for privacy. The folded sheet is very tiny when it's packed in its bag. The fabric is smooth and nice on the skin, it does not squeak, and it's thin - but still thicker than what I expected from nylon. It can be used as a cover for 80L backpack. It's one of those things that you pack for times when you have to improvise, and it doesn't add to your load in size or weight. Definitely recommend this product!

Small lightweight about the size showed in the picture. I used comb for comparison. Its very thin not sure how long this will last or if puncture resistant. Might have to replace with a better one only time will tell.My only complaint is that it didn't really come with direction on the best way to fold so that it fits nicely like other pocket blankets I've had such as matador. Also my carrying case arrived and looked like the stiching is already ripping from being so stuffed. Also don't expect this to look pretty when you pull it out like in the photo directs lots of wrinkles ha.That being said its not a bad product its water resistant and cheaper compared to others not sure how long this will last me as it appears very thin and might punture one of these days. Looks like it can fit 5 slim people laying down side by side.

Got this as a small shelter to use on day hikes for protection from sun or rain. It packs small, making it easy to throw in a day pack. With the addition of some stakes, cordage, and a couple of trekking poles (none of which are included), this provides a comfortable set-up for two people to take a break out of the elements. This isn’t a high-priced silnylon fabric or similar, but very adequate to the task and appears sturdily made. My only request would be one additional tie out in the middle of the short ends, but really no complaints about it as-is.

Edit: The weight listed for this product was lower than the actual product, and weight was the major deciding factor in me purchasing this item. I was contacted and told this was a mistake, and issued a refund. Weight aside (this is still not terribly heavy if you don’t intend to use it for backpacking), the blanket seems to be a sturdy and durable material, and would no doubt be great for general use.
