The Philip Kingsley Flaky Scalp Shampoo is effective at reducing dandruff and soothing the scalp. I noticed a difference after the first wash and my flakes seem non-existent within days. I like this shampoo better than any other dandruff shampoo I've tried in the past. It lathers well and is easy to apply. My hair also had a clean appearance after use as it removed residue.

I received this wrapped in plastic but once you take the plastic off, there is no seal on the bottle itself. When I opened the top and looked inside, half of the product is empty. This did not leak out, so what is going on here? It was sold by Philip Kingsley and shipped by Amazon, no third party seller. I have been scammed by the actual sellers! This should be illegal, this is not cheap shampoo! I guess they don't want repeat buyers.*changing my review because this shampoo ready helped me without stripping out my hair color. The shampoo is very thick and concentrated, so maybe it's heavy and just doesn't fill up the bottle. I'm going to order directly and see if it's the same amount. It's possible the bottle is too large and the amount is correct since I didn't weigh it to make sure. Regardless, this made my scalp feel very good without drying it out, so I was happy afterwards.

My husband has a flaky scalp and has tried dozens of different treatments, from the typical Head and Shoulders shampoo to prescription strength stuff. Nothing really helps. This shampoo is the first one to reduce his “snowstorm” of dandruff into a tiny “flurry.” He still has an itchy head, unfortunately – but at least the flakes are significantly reduced. Going through the ingredients, I found the likely cause: piroctone olamine. It’s an anti-fungal compound that is often used as a safer alternative to zinc pyrithione (the usual ingredient in Head and Shoulders). I don’t think we’ve tried it before, though. Given the cost of this shampoo (currently over $40 for the 8.45 oz bottle), I think we’ll look for this ingredient in less pricey formulas.

I was a little skeptical about this shampoo at first. I tend to go with basic, store bought, grooming products and they’re usually adequate for my needs. However, I was suffering from some itching on my scalp around the crown of my head. Luckily, for a male in his 60s, I still have a pretty thick head of hair, although it’s a lot coarser and bushier than it was when I was younger.The shampoo is clear with a very slight fragrance. It lathered up particularly well given how hard the water is in coastal Los Angeles where I live. Afterward, my hair felt noticeably softer than I’m used to. Best thing was, after a few days the dryness and itching on my scalp had calmed considerably, indicating that this really does work. This is a bit beyond my needs to use as a daily product but I’m going to keep it in the bathroom cabinet in case I have future flare-ups.A good, niche, product that I’m happy to recommend.

This is the second time I've ordered this brand, first time it was the duo and this time just the shampoo. This bottle arrived with the cap crusted and product on the inside. I'm assuming at some point on the shelf it was opened and closed again because the bottle was sticky. The bottle isn't full, either. For a $42 8oz you'd think this would have a better packaging or seal. This shampoo seems to work but the price is getting ridiculous.

Other than the product that saved my hair, made it thicker, healthier, softer. Its such a amazing product even the shipping it arrived before the approximate date and it came in a very good packaging condition it wasnt ruined and it was all clean and well maintained.I really recommend this product if anyone is willing to buy one it has helped my hair so well aswell as it came so fast and in a good condition.
